Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Handy to know: that puts them both at a year or two older than my Mum, Olga^. Although I don’t think Mum’s planning on being on TV! Star Trek Picard, itself, is quite good: it’s very much a thriller. With the Borg Queen’s putting me in mind of Hannibal Lecter.
And thankfully? It’s not been treated like Freaks was!
OK, short knives would be better, yes: but long knives sounds so much more dramatic!
You’ve had warnings, too? We’ve got Amber alerts until Tuesday. It’s … well, the sooner a storm gets here, the better.
† Hello, Mum!
‡ That it did, Debbi^. With an added advantage: Harold MacMillan didn’t sound like a KFC advert!
^ Olga, Debbi, did I mention I’ve been watching Stranger Things? Paul Reiser — Carter Burke from Aliens — is in it. Am I the only one who thinks he looks like Terry Jones? (He’s in an old school American diner, in this episode. I was thinking of spam …)
Q3) Cheese (but it seems there are close to 1000, so...)
Q4) A bicycle race
Q5) Wine regions I think you wrote 20 instead of 30 degrees on the post. Did you swap the names when referring to Terry Jones and Paul Reiser? I mean at the bottom of the photos. I thought you were right about the similarities, but then I got confused by the pics... Yes, I've noticed that the warning here has gone to yellow now, for tomorrow. Although we've had hotter (I remember a summer with several days of 40 and even 41 degrees, especially because we had to go to sort out some paperwork and it meant walking across an area with no shades or trees... I was only 17 or 18 then, but it was unbearable even at that age. They were talking about a desert race a looooong one, where they reached 56 degrees (a Spaniard got to the end in second place, an hour after the first, and he was talking about how he trained for it... NOt something I can imagine ever even trying.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
