“We must, of course, protect our security; but we must also correct the grievances on which terrorism feeds. Crime requires police work, not military action.”
* The new version’s worth a go, Olga: at least, I think so. And I’ll keep my eyes open for you: stay safe!
(Kansas City’s in Missouri … and the song about it’s in Oklahomaª … ? America’s a funny old place.)
† Hello Mum! (If you DO see Mark, tomorrow, tell him it’s Left Hander’s Day!)
‡ I didn’t Debbi. But I did know there’s a Brentwood in Los Angeles. About the only thing I know about the place, is that Marilyn Monroe died there. (Oh, there’s a song about Kansas City in Oklahomaª… )
^ He’s new to me, Trevor. But at leas he’s spelt the name correctly: ie is the Scottish version of the name, ey is the Irish one.
ª Just so Olga and Debbi know? And as there’s a train in that clip? Did you know the harmonica parts in blues songs are supposed to be trains?
Your name sake gave up his job 3 or 4 years ago and became a professional Vlogger on YouTube and Patreon. This has enabled him to travel the world doing travel Vlogs. I think he has a good income. I have noticed other North Americans doing similar. Being a Miser I only watch the free channels on YouTube and click the like button to help out the You-tubers.
Due to the pandemic he had to stay at home in Vancouver. So he had to do many vlogs on Vancouver which I have enjoyed.
Greater Vancouver has many districts named after places in the UK. There is Surrey, Richmond, New Westminster and of course Brentwood.
Q5) widows Oh, I didn't know about the harmonica and the trains, but it makes sense. Due to a yellow warning for heat, we changed our plans for today, and then I had a bit of an issue with my travel card (that I thought I had lost, but after arranging an appointment to try and sort it out, I found again), so it's been quite a morning. Have a good day, even if it is a Friday!
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
