I can remember seeing the film, many years ago: and being struck by how bratty Tom Hulce’s take was. It’s a very different performance to the only other thing I’ve seen him in.
And, yes, Mum’s good like that. (Cheers, Mum!). The meeting went well: about the only blip in the works was the train strike: a half hour train ride turn into an hour. But at least I didn’t half to deal with a fire: that could’ve turned out nasty!
Yes: those mobile hotspots can be handy, I’d imagine. Especially if you have to travel!
Oh, did you either listen to a Radio four show called The Reunion, while you were here? I’ve got Today’s episode on: and they’re doing Grange Hill!

Oh, I mentioned The Reunion to Olga. They did a Dr Who episode, many years ago! Talking of William Russell? Did you know William Russell’s son, Alfred Enoch, is in the Harry Potter films? And in Foundation? (William Russell was in his mid-60s when Alfred was born: I’ll have what he’s having!)

I'm happy it went well, despite the train delay. Yes, it is still unclear as to what actually happened here, as different people are saying different things. Some of the passengers say the train driver opened the doors and told them to run for it, while others say some people decided to override the door controls, broke some windows and run, in fact preventing the train from going back (as the driver had to close all the doors manually). Eventually, they went back after she asked for instructions (it wouldn't have been good to collide with an incoming train, I guess), and she picked some of the people that had escaped again, but some were very badly burned. Not those who remained on the train.
I don't recall ever listening to the Reunion. I used to listen to Radio 4 a lot when I first arrived in the UK, but later I went through a phase of listening to local radio stations (especially when I was doing locums, as it was a good way to know what was going on in the area), and eventually I mostly listened to Radio 2. I know, I know. It's an age thing, I guess.
I saw the news about Ipads, Macs... although that was when I came back from the radio, in the evening, and I was sure you'd had seen it by then. Tomorrow we have the "pregó" that is when somebody gives a speech to mark the opening of the festival, in the evening, and I'll be there, with my mother, handing leaflets and things for the radio quizzes and contests. And then, on Sunday, I start in the morning, answering phones and "producing" the program with Roger, the sound technician (who's been at the radio since the very beginning, so, thankfully, he knows what to do). The last day is on the 27th. If I have the time I'll carry on participating, but, don't worry if you don't see me around much, as it depends on how many people turn up, as we'll have to cover any gaps as well, and it can get quite tiring.
