Q5) Finally … ? 21st October, 1917, saw the birth of jazz musician, Dizzy Gillespie. Famously, he played an extremely bent what: trumpet, trombone or saxophone?
* You’re not wrong, there, Olga! I’ve got the last Mock the Week on iPlayer, at the moment: and they’re being merciless about it … ! And hysterical as ever: they’re going out on a high note. It’s one hell of a closing episode.
You’re right: Nicky’s fantastic! (He used to sing for Samson, if that’s any interest.)
† Hello, Mum!
‡ There’s probably T-shirt printers who could do it, Debbi. Google tells me there’s a place called Captain Jerry’s in Baltimore … … … … … …
Q5) An opera I can't access the iPlayer from here, but I'm sure it will appear somewhere where I can check it given time. I hope the vaccination goes well. My mother had her fourth (and the flu vaccine at the same time) a few weeks ago, and she didn't feel too good for a day or so, although that was all. Here there were a few drops of rain yesterday, but the weather is still very mild for this time of the year.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
