Q1) 23rd October is an unofficial holiday called Mole Day. It’s marked by whom: chemists, physicists or linguists?

Q5) Finally … ? Sarah Bernhardt was born on 23rd October, 1844. She was an actress from where: France, Germany or Belgium?
* It’s worth watching, Olga: it was one hell of a show!
The vaccination went well. Although the location was … well, it wasn’t where I though it was. It was on the other side of the Mall. Granted, it’s not the biggest shopping mall in Essex — that’s still Lakeside — but it’s quite a hike!
† Hello, Mum! See you later!
‡ Ahhh … crabs … ! Just as a pointless fact for you, Debbi, the word’s a British English term for pubic lice! I never did like shell fish!
Oh … Have you found a US broadcast time for The Power of The Doctor? And can I make a confession? I’m betting Jodie will regenerate into David Tennant … and say something like ‘What? What???’ Or complain he’s not ginger …
I am going to Romford next Tuesday for my 4th covid jab. It is in the old Sports direct shop where i had my 3rd covid jab. It was very efficient there last time.
Q5) France Oh, I remember visiting Lakeside once, with a friend from work. I think we were coming back from visiting her parents. I remember we ate at an Old Orleans, which was a favourite of ours at the time. Yes, if you had to find the location there it might have been a problem. (I wonder if the Old Orleans chain of restaurants is still working, although it isn't the best place to go if you're trying to keep to a diet... I remember even the salads were bucket size) I hope your meetings go well tomorrow. We have the yearly radio photo this afternoon, and afterwards I have to cover an operistic event in aid of Alzheimer's. Thankfully it isn't very far from the radio, but I might have to rush if there are any delays, as tends to be the case when a lot of people gather together and have to be organised... And posed... Oh, enjoy the Doctor.
Actually, "crabs" is also used in the US to refer to lice. People do talk about catching the crabs from someone.
As for David Tennant, nothing would surprise me. Perhaps he'll grouse about being ginger in an incomprehensible Scottish accent? No, wait. Not for playing The Doctor, surely?!
I still need to take the quiz, aka, teaser.
1. chemists 2. league 3. North Vietnam 4. Libya's 5. France
I don't know I feel the need to say this, but I really miss that guy who played the Brigadier. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
