Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 25-11-2022 — Suriname

25th November, 2022: Suriname.

You know, I totally forgot about that.

You’ll possibly know that the UK government’s paid for a four hundred pound payment to all UK house holds: I’m getting them as a series of vouchers, over the next few months.

What I forgot?

Was that my energy suppliers also offered me an electric blanket.

Well … I say blanket: they called it an electric throw.

Quite what the difference is supposed to be, I don’t know.

At any rate … ?

Mine turned up, last night.

Granted: it’s a cheap, Chinese made thing.

That doesn’t exactly warm up quickly.

But?

At least it’s here.

~≈♨️≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Suriname’s motto.
And a national anthem …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        It wasn’t a long time, Olga.   But it was very frustrating!   I like to get things done in as few trips as possible!
Cheers, by the way: it wasn’t intentional, but I’ve got the year added.

        Hello, Mum!

I’ll see what I can do about picking it up, Debbi!   :D
Nice to hear what you think about Night Watch!   Keep your eyes open for Nation: it and Night Watch are his two best books.   (Oh, that’s a Cornish hen … … )

I hope the electric blanket helps. Here the temperature is still up and down, but it has been fairly mild until now, although it's supposed to be getting chillier over the weekend.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
