* I managed to find what I needed, Olga: and double check it with the job centre, then pass it on to a few people. Hopefully, it’ll help.
The social discount at your end sounds a lot like the Warm Home discount, here. That’s part of the reason I couldn’t get it, this year: as they’ve tightened up the qualifications.
Oh, you got my message about Lorraine, didn’t you … ?
† Hello, Mum!
‡ It’s one of the early strips from Dr Who Weekly. It was originally published by the UK branch Marvel. The first five have been republished in the UK as The Iron Legion: although I don’t know if it’s been released in the US.
Nope, hang on: there’s a hardcover version on the US branch of Amazon. For $75. (My paperback version was £12.15: about $15, if I’ve got the current rates, right.)
Q5) electronic game Thanks, Paul. Fingers crossed somebody can help Lorraine and good to know you found some useful information to share. I was thinking about your nephew and wondered if he knew about something a recently retired FC Barcelona player (Gerard Piqué, who recently has become more famous/infamous for breaking up with singer Shakira and her reaction to the whole thing, but anyway) has set into motion called the Kings League. I am not much of a football fan, but heard about it and I saw an item of news on it as well. It seems they have changed the rules, they play with fewer players, but you have things like players, referees, etc. wearing cameras, it is streamed online for free (I think people can also go to watch the games, but that is a different issue), and quite well known Youtubers here also comment the games, sometimes with pretty well-known players (some retired footballers head some of the teams, and the final will be played at the FC Barcelona stadium). Of course, many of the comments, etc, will be in Spanish, I imagine, but I thought he might be interested in having a look, if he hasn't yet. This is the website: https://kingsleague.pro/ Having a quick look, if one clicks on the Kings League TV button at the top, it takes you to one of the recent games, so that might work.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
