Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 25-10-2023 — Northamptonshire Day

25th October, 2023: Northamptonshire Day.

Right …

I’ve got to admit to having woken up with an earworm: a song, playing through my head.

This morning?

I woke up with Wet Leg’s “Oh, No” banging through my head.

Obviously, they couldn’t find the heads for their Womble costumes.

At ANY rate … ?

The only way I could get it out of my head?

Was playing a Vengaboys song …

The fact they aren’t dressed up as Wombles is a good thing …

~≈¥≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Trevor§ didn’t leave us a message.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

From the Wikipedia entry on the area.

And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

I’ve managed to do some double-checking, Olga: Sainsbury’s does take them.   I managed to get some new razor blades, there, yesterday.   Their didn’t have any of the eight pack versions, though.   Which is a shame, the latter had a big discount.
My usual card is a Visa one: which is taken everywhere.   (The one that usually causes traders problems is American Express: a lot of places won’t take it, as it charges retailers a lot.)

Problems, Debbi?   Have you tried using a different browser?
(Last time I couldn’t upload to YouTube, it was because I needed to change the output settings in iMovie.   Changing your copy’s settings could help: or you can recode the video with Handbrake.)

  3. "Trevor§ didn’t us a message."

Do you not mean "Trevor§ didn’t SEND us a message."?

Again editing and checking would help.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
