You're possibly expecting me to tell you I've brought it home, safe, well, and working.
Unfortunately?
You'd be wrong.
They've managed to fix the power supply which was causing the main problem.
But?
Apparently, the screen's having trouble: and they have to get a component.
Understandably? I'm not pleased.
Especially given the time of year.
It's adding time to the process that I'm definitely unhappy with!

Yes, I saw your message about the computer. Let's hope it isn't too difficult to find the parts, because Apple has a bit of a reputation for not making things easier and for repairs being a pain in the ass.
No luck with the Gordo yesterday, at all. We've bought one for el Niño (here the Epiphany is a more traditional occasion for giving gifts to children than Christmas, although for quite a few years now it seems that giving presents all the time is the norm), but again, we're not holding our breath. The chances are very slim, although yes, the prices are good for those who get them, even after the taxman gets his part.
Oh, and thanks to Trevor, and I join him in wishing you and all the followers a Great Holiday Season (although I hope to join here most days. We have guests on the 26th, but we will probably go out, if our colds allow, because I got one as well now, after my mother has been having a cough for several weeks).
