Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10th June, 2024.

10th June, 2024.

Right, then … Mondays!

I almost always have an early start on Mondays.

Because it’s the day of a weight management course I’m on.

Hopefully?

I’ll have lost weight, today.

We’ll have to see.

~≈Ÿ≈~

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Here’s a thought …
“I knew that I could sing and dance...my mother would give me a nickel sometimes to stop.”
Hattie McDaniel, June 10, 1893 – October 26, 1952.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

I remember you mentioning it, Olga: around Easter time.   So, when I saw Murcia had a Sardine burial, I had to give a mention … !
That’s exactly how I started watching Game of Thrones.   Sky aired the first series on the one channel they had on Freeview: blah years later, I’d seen the lot.   Given the cost of these things?   You can understand why sites like Pirate Bay, KAT and Torrent Galaxy, do so well.   (Not that I’m suggesting using them, Olga: that would be naughty!)
Supernatural sounds like it has something in common with Game of Thrones: the latter’s first season had a big ending, too§.

Spot on, Debbi, spot on!   :D
Oh, have you managed to catch “Rogue”, yet?   It’s causing a fuss!   (One or two news sites are making a big thing of it: without noticing Christopher Ecclestone’s last episode.)

§        The big ending involved the King’s Executioner, Olga: who was played by Wilko Johnson, of all people.   Last time I saw Wilko, he was playing at a pub I worked in!

Fom your accounts, you've been lucky with the performances you managed to enjoy (not sure when one is working how much one enjoys things, but...) while working in pubs. I know I mentioned that one of my uncles worked at the Mermaid Theatre many moons back, and he also met some interesting people. (He always remembered Bernard Manning with fondness, although I know his style of humour wouldn't fly too high these days. Mind you, he saw him playing at pantos, so one hopes it was a bit different).
I hope you have lost some weight.
I think I've mentioned that these days I don't seem to have the patience for series (I sometimes watch a movie, but something that requires long-term commitment, not so much), so I am not too bothered about legal or illegal sites. I have so many books and reviews to try to get through as well...

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
