Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 2nd March, 2018

2nd March, 2018.

Yes: it’s officially official.

It’s still cold around here: and looking to remain so for at least another day.

Frankly?

I could really do without that cold weather.

It makes getting to and from work seriously difficult.

The other official thing of note?

Is I’ve just been tinkering with the special effects in Photo Booth.

You possibly hadn’t noticed, had you?

At any rate … ?   It’s possibly something to tinker about with, further …

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video

Q1) The Great Slave Auction started: on 2nd March, 1859.   It was the largest such auction held: where?
Q2) Vladimír Remek, the first astronaut from neither the US or USSR, launched on 2nd March, 1978: in Soyuz 28.   He was from which (former) nation?
Q3) Which (then) African nation declared itself a republic: on 2nd March, 1970?
Q4) Moscovium was officially added to the Periodic Table: on 2nd March, 2017.   What’s Moscovium’s Atomic Number?
Q5) Finally … Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli was elected pope: on 2nd March, 1939.   What name did he take, as pope?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1) Yahoo.
Q2) 1st March is Saint David’s Day.   The saint’s said to be from which Welsh county?

Here’s a thought …
“If you can’t pass the ball properly, a bowl of pasta’s not going to make that much difference!”
Harry Redknapp, born 2nd March, 1947.
And a Kurt Weill song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day: don’t fall over!

*        Sounds like an interesting movie, Olga: might just have to pencil it in.   Don’t forget, I’ve seen Martyrs, which was pretty intense … !   It’ll HAVE to be when I’ve got time, and finished Mr Robot!   Frozen lakes and fountains?   That must be something to see!

†        So long as the heating’s on, in there, Debbi, I don’t think I’d be complaining!   Right at the moment … ?   We’re running out of gas … !

Let me know what you think if you end up watching Raw (French are always a bit special). Here I think the wind is the worst problem. Big branches torn off trees, some tiles have come off the roof...

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?

I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.

Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.

Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.

Thank you.
