* That’s always a good idea, Anne, I think. They tell us the same thing at AA meetings! Oh, I’ve finished the book I was reading: The Hellbound Heart’s next … (Oh, I’ve written Halloween’s Teaser … )
† Everything OK, Olga? I saw the tweet … ! (Oh, I’ve a couple of slightly Spanish Teasers coming up.)
Well, not looking too good here on several fronts. I hope you all have a good week.

Q1) Spain Q2) White Cane Safety Day Q3) Microsoft Q4) Nikita Khrushchev Q5) Alfred Dreyfus was arrested for spying: on 15th October, 1894. He was accused of spying on France: for which country? Germany (a terrible affair. I did watch a movie that was set in Devil Island’s prison, if I’m not wrong, and it was hell on Earth). I am fine, just a bit of a day, not only news but also one of my collaborators, an editor I work with who was supposed to be proofreading the book I’m translating now, that due to family problems has given up on editing. I’ll have to try to find somebody else, but it can be tough until you get used to working with somebody, and her prices were reasonable. (With my way of working, whatever the proofreader charges comes out of the money I make for the translation, so if I have to go with somebody who is much more expensive, I’ll end up getting hardly anything for my troubles… as is already the case). I’ve got in touch with the first editor I worked with, but her turnaround was getting very slow (once she took over 6 months, that I didn’t mind for my own books, but it’s not acceptable if you’re working with somebody else). I’ll wait and see what she says, but I have some other options in mind. By the way, I couldn’t find any ads to click but perhaps it’s me. I did turn off my ad blocker (it drives one mad otherwise), but it didn’t locate any ads on your page either when I turned it on again. I remember when Amazon only paid if you got to $100. Let me tell you that never happened. Now they pay anything, and in my case it tends to be pennies (or cents, now), and of course, there are tax deductions too… (Not if you live in the UK though, at least so far). I tried affiliate marketing, but I never got to even $10 that was the minimum, although it depends on how popular your blog is and the type of things you promote (books don’t make much money, but I don’t think I reached even 10 cents in a year). Trying that was part of the reason why I changed my blog, because it didn’t support commercial use, although now the free version includes their own ads, but, of course, they have to make a living…. Good luck!
Yes, frequency can help. :) I've always found your blog makes me feel like I'm there with you. Virtually, at any rate. :) I think that helps. Along with your conversational style, which as you know I'm into myself. :)

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
