Q1) 4th December is the feast day of Saint Osmund. He’s the patron saint of whom: mentally ill people, cess pit cleaners or Mormons?
Q2) The Mary Celeste was found adrift in the Atlantic Ocean: on 4th December, 1872. She ship was a what: clipper, schooner or brigantine?
Q3) 4th December, 1991, saw an airline cease operations. Which airline: TWA, Pan Am or Laker?
Q4) It’s National what Day in the US: National Cookie Day, National Beer Day or National badger Day?
Q5) Finally … ? At a concert in Montreux, on 4th December, 1971, a fan let off a flare: that burnt down the concert venue. Deep Purple were witnesses to the event: and wrote Smoke on the Water as a result. But? Q5) Finally … ? Camelot debuted on Broadway: on 3rd December, 1960. Who played Arthur in this original run: Richard Burton, Richard Beckinsale or Richard Harris?
* That’s another one of those musicals I keep meaning to see, Olga. Either way, it’s supposed to be something to see: with Burton or Harris. (Harris played Arthur in the film version, didn’t he?)
Ha, yeah! Customs duties! I’ve been caught that way, myself! I’m just betting a few people have been caught by those: ordering stuff in from Europe. Bloody Brexit!
Sounds like the station’s going to be packed, come Wednesday! Have fun with it! Oh, and as you mentioned parties on patios …
† Hello, Mum!
‡ I know what you mean, Debbi! Saying that … ? I’ve got the last ones — at least, the ones that need stamps! — done. Including one last one: to the widow of an old friend, who I keep meaning to write to!
That doesn’t make physically writing any easier! But at least they’re done … !
Q5) Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention Great music! It was quite lovely, because they used the whole building, and some of the musicians (the culture house specialises in music) were playing from the upstairs floors, ane even a couple of them went to the building next door and played from the windows of the flats overlooking the patio. This is the group who played there. They started in Barcelona in 2018 and had their first concert there during the pandemic, and promised to come back for a proper concert. Since then they have been in many festivals all around the world and have become quite well known. It is salsa, but not bad at all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=237I8ax9Dcg I hope you have a great Sunday. Tomorrow I'll do a double lesson with Jordi, as he won't be available next week, so I might be late to the teaser, but I should make it at some point.

I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
