Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 8th April 2023 Teaser.
8th April, 2023.
Right … I think I owe Trevor a big thank you.
He managed to remind me I wouldn’t be getting any post, yesterday … as it was a bank holiday.
Thanking you, Trevor!
As you can imagine?
I’ve already sent the court service an email: reminding them I’d been told I’d get the letter by the seventh, and that it wouldn’t arrive, because of the bank holiday …
But, of course, aren’t expecting any reply until Tuesday … as Monday is ALSO a bank holiday.
I love life …

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
When I worked in Local Government (Nottinghamshire county council) in the late 1960’s we had 2 extra days off at Easter. The Thursday before Easter and the Tuesday after Easter were non working days for most staff. We (in the computer department ) upgraded from a 2nd generation computer (ICT 1301) to a 3rd generation computer (ICL 1904) over a long Easter break. Great amount of over-time earned by all in the department. This was back in the days when computers were only batch machines. Data was transferred between the systems mainly by punched cards.
You have to hope that the Courts are not using these extra days off.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.
† Your Facebook, X/Twitter, Blogger, Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn profile are acceptable. I also like seeing folks webpages.
