† It sounds like it could be serious, Olga: especially the memory situation. Ihope it’s not the frightening prospect. (Terry Pratchett once said we find it difficult to name demons. He was right: I found it hard to write the name of that condition!)
At any rate? I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you both!
‡ I’d love to hear your thoughts about it, though, Debbi! Please let me know if you get the chance!
Did you ever hear of a fantasy writer called Mercedes Lackey? From what’s she’s written on Quora, there’s some sort of court judgement been issued, in the US: that means AI generated text or works, can’t be copyrighted.
Get your eyes tested. I think every on yesterday got five out of five. you said four out of five for every one. Good job I am not putting in any answers.
Q5) the UK’s Thanks, Paul. I know what you mean. I managed to book her an appointment with her GP tomorrow afternoon, so let's see what she says, and I hope they can start checking things out in a bit more detail. I'll keep you posted. And I hope everything goes well today for you and you have a good time. All the best to your nephew as well.
Yes, I've been following that pretty closely. I get my info from attorneys who handle IP and other issues related to AI.
I know the US Copyright Office will not register a work created entirely by AI, but are willing to register work that AI has been used to create, if the registrant can show their influence on the work. Basically, they need to be able to show how a human made a change to the result. In essence. :)
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

I started the Pratchett book. You can see the early Sir Terry emerging. And they're short stories. Easy, fun reading. So far. :)
Nice intro from Neil "Himself" Gaiman! :)
BTW, wear blue for dystonia! :)
