Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring four out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        24th September is Republic Day.   Where: Trinidad and Tobago, Armenia or Germany?

Q2)        24th September is the day of Our Lady of Walsingham.   According to whom: the Church of England, the Serbian Orthodox Church or the Church of the Tin Vagabond?

Q3)        24th September, 1935, saw Earl W. Bascom, and his brother Weldon, perform in the first night-time what under flood lights: American Football match, rodeo or baseball game?

Q4)        Angelo Muscat was born: on 24th September, 1930.   He played a Chumbley in Galaxy 4.   Galaxy 4 was a story in which science-fiction show: Dr Who, Blake’s Seven or Survivors?

Q5)        Finally … ?   24th September, 1834, saw the death of Pedro 1st.   Pedro was the first Emperor of where: Brazil, Chile or Mexico?

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        23rd September is the International Day of Sign Languages.   Sign languages are usually spoken by whom: the blind, deaf or mute?
A1)        The deaf.

Q2)        The Ethnologue’s website currently lists how many sign languages: 157, 159 or 161?
A2)        159.

Q3)        BSL is the main sign language in the UK.   The ‘B’ stands for what?
A3)        British.   (The language’s full name is British Sign Language.)

Q4)        Is BSL related to American Sign Language: yes, or no?
A4)        No.   Apparently, it’s more related to spoken Japanese!

Q5)        Finally … ?   According to Wikipedia, IPSL is the world’s most spoken sign language.   It’s spoken, where: India, China, or the USA?
A5)        India.   (IPSL stands for Indo-Pakistani Sign Language.)

Here’s a thought …
“I couldn’t do ventriloquism. I don’t have any interest in splitting myself in two, the way a ventriloquist does — half-himself, half the dummy on his knee.”
Jim Henson, September 24, 1936 – May 16, 1990.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

Is it A Stroke of The Pen, Debbi … ?   I’m curious about it, myself.

I'm back! (Sort of). Sorry, but it proved more challenging than expected, not because of technical problems alone, but my mother has had several falls over the last month or so, and I had noticed some memory problems, that seemed to be progressing quite quickly. That brought many problems while we were away, because being in an unfamiliar place, I couldn't really leave her alone, as she couldn't remember which floor of the hotel we were in, and she kept misplacing things. It had to check everything constantly, so quite exhausting. Not my idea of a holiday, although at least we had the food provided, and because a lot of the people in the group, and others, were also old, at least it wasn't such a surprising state of affairs.
The doctor had changed her medication last time we went to see her, and there didn't seem to be a problem for the first month or so, but among the side-effects mentioned are confusions and memory problems, so I want to check with her, although my suspicion is that this might just be a slippery slope kind of situation. I don't know how much I'll be around, because it depends on how things evolve. (When my father died, she also seemed quite forgetful, but when the doctor tested her she didn't think it was anything to worry about. I know stress affects her, and she'd had a cold and not been sleeping well due to the hot weather, but...) I'll keep you posted, but I mention it just in case.

That's the one. It comes out next month!

Not that I'll be able to review it in advance. Got a load of other books coming out in October to pick and choose from. Though I doubt the author cares much. :)

I suspect it will find its way into readers' hands. Even if "authors" are publishing three AI-created books a day on Amazon!

1. Trinidad and Tobago
2. the Church of England
3. rodeo
4. Dr. Who
5. Brazil
