Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum!
† You know, seeing all those allotments reminds me, Olga: my new neighbour has one. I might just have to see if she’s got any spare potatoes!
Ah HA! Kids are always handy for exercise, aren’t they? Jude certainly was, at that age. At any rate, it sounds like Mrs Jordi’s well on the mend.
I would seriously love to see more old churches. Not that I’m especially religious: but they’re usually beautiful pieces of work. There’s an old one, near where I lived in Kelvedon, called Saint Nicholas’: that’s got an amazing interior. And Saint Thomas’, in the high Street, is quite something.
‡ Oh, how well I remember, Debbi! I think I’m due another, myself! It’s all fun and games, isn’t it? At any rate, I’m glad your birthday is proving … um … interesting!
§ OK, Holly Johnson — Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s singer — was never on a par with Boy George or Jimmy Somerville. But the band’s version of “(Do You Know the Way to) San Jose” shows off his voice, beautifully.
Q5) Mary 1st You must try and visit St. Nicholas. It looks gorgeous. As for your neighbour's allotment, this time of the year it's probably tomatoes and courgettes, but it might be worth checking and telling him that if he has anything going spare it would be welcome.
I love it when someone comments. But, having had anonymous comments I feel may be libellous, actionable or just plain offensive, over the years?
I’d appreciate you* leaving your name — with a link to your website or social-media profile†, for preference — before you post a comment.
Should you choose to use a pseudonym/name, I’d appreciate it if that name were to be polite and inoffensive. I’d rather you kept it clean, and relatively grown up. Comments left with a pseudonym will be posted at my discretion: I really prefer a link.
Contentious, actionable or abusive posts left anonymously will not be posted. Nor will comments using offensive pseudonyms or language, or that are abusive of other commenters.
Thank you.
* I know many value their online privacy. I respect that. But hope you respect my wish to see who’s commenting on my blog: and my wish for you to introduce your self to me, and to your fellow commentors.

Well, at least, I got that over with.
ReplyDeleteI'm amazed I'm still awake, hours post-procedure.
