23rd February, 2019.
Right …
I have to confess, I was going to go shopping, yesterday: as I got paid.
Usually, in these situations? I take as much as I can, out, from a cash machine: then take out the rest from from my local branch.
Like many others? My bank — the Halifax — limits how much I can take out at a cash machine.
So that’s how I usually take everything out.
Unfortunately?
My bank’s Brentwood branch?
Was shut: due to a planned closure …
What made it more frustrating for me?
Was that the people running my bank’s Twitter account … ?
Had no idea why the branch was closed.
Now, I know how difficult it is, for the various back office departments to communicate.
But you’d think that — if a branch is going to have a planned closure — they’d pass the details onto the relevant customer-facing people.
Because you can bet your bum someone’s going to want to know.
I'm sorry you feel this way. We'll be in touch as soon as we have more info. ^KC— Halifax (@AskHalifaxBank) February 22, 2019

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi* putting in her answers: scoring five out of five in the process.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1) 23rd February saw Plutonium synthesised for the first time: by Dr Glenn T. Seaborg. In which year?
Q2) The metal is named after which dwarf planet … ?
Q3) What’s the chemical symbol for Plutonium?
Q4) Plutonium’s atomic number is 94. That puts it between Neptunium, and Americium: on the what table?
Q5) Plutonium comes in how many different isotopes: four, five or six?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) Frank W. Woolworth opened the first of many of his shops on 22nd February, 1878: in the city of Utica. City, and store, were in which US state?
Q2) Frank’s first successful store was in which US state?A2) Pennsylvania.
Q3) Woolworth’s, itself, was what Americans call a five and what store?A3) A five and dime store.
Q4) The UK division of Woolworth’s closed in which year?
Q5) Finally … ? The Woolworth’s chain — in the US — is now called … what?A5) Foot Locker.
Here’s a thought …
“Doc, you don’t just walk into a store and-and buy plutonium! Did you rip that off?”Marty McFly, Back to the Future.
And a song …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Have a good day.
* Oh, tell me about it, Debbi … ! (And yes, it’s now owned by Footlocker. They don’t sell plutonium …at least, not according to Marty McFly … !)

A1 1941 (according to the main page on Plutonium in Wikipedia "Plutonium was first produced and isolated on December 14, 1940," so that is 2 dates 23 Feb 1940 on the today page of Wikipedia. Wonder which one is correct?
A2 Pluto
A3 Pu
A4 periodic
A5 16 Isotopes and 6 Allotropes
you are getting your Allotrope and Isotopes mixed up.
"Plutonium is a silver-gray radioactive metal that has six allotropic forms (see allotropy ). ... Sixteen isotopes of plutonium are known. The most stable is plutonium-244 (half-life about 82 million years). By far the most important is plutonium-239 (half-life about 24,000 years), a nuclear fission fuel.".
No mention of the BT job so I guess that you did not get it.

Not even Amazon sells that. I hope. :)
