Yes: it’s officially official.

I was in Brentwood Library, yesterday.

Scanning in some paperwork that I need to send off, for an upcoming Tribunal.

Sharpish, I should add: frankly, I’d’ve preferred a chance to talk over changes with the letter’s author, just to make sure everything was kosher … but you can’t have everything.

At ANY rate … ?

I was up at Brentwood Library: complete with a USB stick that I could store things on.

I did the scan, saved the scans to my stick, my Google Drive, and emailed them to my self.

Just to be on the safe side.

Then went shopping.

Then … ?

When I got home … ?

Realised I’d left the stick somewhere.

More than probably the library!

I’m going to have to go back, to check that, today.

There’s a hell of a lot of personal details on there!

Q2)        He started his best known company in 1968: under the name Alan Michael Sugar Trading Ltd.   It was better known how: Amstrad, Sinclair Research or Acorn?

A2)        Amstrad.   (The company’s now owned by Sky. But, when it was run by Sir Alan?   Its HQ was here in Brentwood: literally around the corner from my place.   The building’s now a hotel.   You could tell when Sir Alan was in the building.   His Rolls Royce — complete the number plate, AMS 1 — would be parked outside.)

Q3)        For many years, he was chairman of which Premiership side: Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea?

A3)        Tottenham Hotspur.

Q4)        He’s the presenter of the British version of which show?

A4)        The Apprentice.   (He’s recently crowned this year’s winner.)

Q5)        Finally … ?   After being ennobled in July of 2009.   He’s Baron Sugar of where: Clapton, Clacton or Clackmannanshire?

*        Hello, Mum!

†        Sound Forge, Sound Forge … you know, I think I know it by reputation, Olga: although I’ve not used it.   Going by its Wikipedia entry, it’s got support for some video formats as well: so you could add sound to video.

        I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, Olga.   Hopefully, the trip will go well.   But?   The King’s cancelled his planned state visit, the one due to start tomorrow.   I don’t know if that’ll make things easier or worse!

        At ANY rate?   I keep thinking of taxis, whenever I hear the word, ‘Hackney’.   Technically, UK taxis are Hackney carriages.   Mini cabs, or ‘private hire vehicles’, on the other hand?   Aren’t.   (You can hail a taxi on the street: you have to book a cab.)
