*        Has anyone got eight-hundred for an iPhone 16?   No … ?   Never mind!

†        I’ve corrected the spelling of that currency, Olga¶: hopefully, no-one’s noticed!   But if it is named after a king, it wouldn’t surprise me.   From what I’ve read, there’s a few currencies named ‘royals’ or ‘crowns’ knocking about.

        Oh, I read your recent blog post, Olga.   It’s at times like this, I wish my Aunty Bella was still alive: she cared for my Alzheimer’s-affected Grandmother for years, and may have been able to offer some thoughts, if nothing else.

        It sounds like you’d’ve had an advantage, regardless of Franco: I get the impression speaking two languages makes it easier to learn a third.   Mind you … it sounds like the Generalissimo was unhelpful … !

        Babylon 5’s is definitely interesting: even just two episodes in.   Yes, it’s different to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, but that doesn’t make it bad.   I don’t know if you’d be able to catch all of it: but, apparently, the show’s creator had five years worth of the thing roughed out in advance.

§        A potato, Debbi?   I’m assuming that’s so you have something to use, to build up hand strength: is that right?   If it’s any help, there’s a whole section in Terry Pratchett’s The Truth, about potatoes!   Here …

        I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled, there, Debbi¶: I do know Koenig’s character was named after SF writer, Alfred Bester: Bester’s The Demolished Man is about a telepathic cop.   At ANY rate … possibly saying Babylon 5’s Star Trek by Republicans is the wrong way of putting it.   I’m two episodes in: and it seems very gung-ho, compared to early Deep Space Nine’s mysticism.

        Oh, last night’s episode had W. Morgan Sheppard, Mark Sheppard’s dad, as the villain of the piece: he turned up as the older Canton Everett Delaware III in The Impossible Astronaut.   Turns out he was Blank Reg, too!
