*Yawn*
I’m up very early …
No, really early: it’s ten to five on a Thursday morning.
All this … ?
All this because I want to be up early …
To make my 8·30 appointment at the dentists, today.
I can get a couple of hours sleep, once I get back from appointment.
That tooth extraction’s going to hurt, certainly.
Not as much as getting up at four in the morning.

Just as a quick thought, before I move on?
The UK Anti-Doping Agency has announced it’s facing cash flow issues.
It’s facing being sued by boxer, Tyson Fury: for loss of earnings, after he tested positives for steroids.
Apparently?
The positive test result was due to he and his cousin, Hughie, having a meal of uncastrated wild boar.
Ever heard the phrase, ‘on the swerve’? Meaning to try and dodge something?
Go and explain it to Tyson, would you … ?

Let’s move on, shall we?
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both spotting the typo — my fault, entirely: I’ve now corrected the year to 1936 — the pair both scored five out of five.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1) 9th November is the date of several notable events: in one European county’s history. Things like the Kaiser’s abdication, the Beer Hall Putsch and the fall of the Berlin Wall. The day — and the events — happened in which country?
Q2) 9th November is therefore known as the Schicksalstag: or Day of … what?
Q3) 9th November, 1907, was the birthday of King Edward 7th. What diamond was he given?
Q4) More to the point, the largest gem cut from that diamond is known as the Great Star of where?
Q5) Finally … 9th November, 1961, saw the birth of TV presenter, Jill Dando. In which year was she shot and killed on her own doorstep?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) The USA’s oldest pay TV service debuted: on 8th November, 1972. Which service is it?A1) HBO.
Q2) More to the point, which of its TV shows sees noble families fight to control the Iron Throne?A2) Game of Thrones.
Q3) Mary Robinson was elected as Ireland’s first female president: on 8th November, 1990. An Irish presidential term lasts for how many years?A3) 7 years.
Q4) The first dogfight between jet planes took place on 8th November, 1950. During which war?A4) The Korean War.
Q5) Finally … 8th November, 1936, saw the start of the Battle of where: Madrid, Barcelona or Seville?A5) Madrid.
Here’s a thought …
“If you are going to try and hide something, sooner or later people are going to find out.”Lou Ferrigno, born November 9, 1951.
And a thought …
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
Have a good day!
* Everything OK, there, Olga? Sounds like you were a little rushed!
† Everyone’s different, Debbi! (Discovery could well hit the shops on DVD/Bluray, at some point …)

OK, thanks. (I like to go for a walk after doing some work but these days there's so little daylight that if I'm not careful I end up walking in the dark, and as I insist on reading and walking it gets a bit tricky). Good luck with the dentist!
Here's hoping! Or maybe they could do the unthinkable and move it to their regular network channel! :)
