It: Chapter Two — A Review

20th October 2019.

I’m officially terrible.

No, really.

I had dinner with my family, earlier this evening.

I’m job hunting right now.

I get to see my relatives … and get a meal.

So stuff works out.

Until, of course, I got home … and realised I’d left my spectacles at my mothers.

Hmm …

Thankfully?   My sister Anna, happily dropped them off.

I’m grateful …

And kicking myself!

At any rate … ?

At any rate, with time on my hand … ?

With time on my hand, I wanted to catch a movie.

Given it’s been recently released on demand, and that I’d seen Chapter One, last year?

Given I’d seen the radically different Kidulthood, last night?

I fancied something familiar, yet different.

I fancied It: Chapter Two.

And, if you’ve seen the extremely brief video I’ve posted on YouTube?

I have my doubts …

Pet Sematary (2019) — A Review

18th August 2019.

Yes …

It’s a Sunday night.

And frankly, it’s a Sunday night off.

After a couple of shifts that have been … exhausting, to say the least.

NOT helped by the fact I’m not exactly as thin as I was, twenty years ago.

I’m …

I’m not having doubts about the job.

But may need to have a quiet word about the length of my shifts.

At any rate … ?

I’ve had today off.

Off … and have no worries about getting up in the morning …

Yes: you’ve guessed it: that’s given me enough time for a movie.

Now … did you figure out it was the 2019 version of Pet Sematary?

It: Chapter One — A Review …

1st November, 2018

You know, you are — possibly — aware it’s late … ish.

At least, for me it is.

I’m not as young as I was when I started writing this blog, all those years ago!

And, right at the moment … ?

I’m thinking I’ve got to go to bed.

I’m tired … and have a long weekend at work.

But … ?

Well, I had a day off, today.

In amongst the video making, laundering, chasing prescriptions, wiping surfaces, and whatever else needed doing today?

I thought a scary movie would be in order.   As I was working, last night, catching a scary movie on Halloween night, itself, was out of the question.

So … …

It …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21st September, 2018.

21st September, 2018.

Yes, it’s true: I’m getting too damn distracted by games!

Especially Backgammon and Meow Match!

Don’t even go there … !

Actually, Absolute Backgammon?

Is rather good.

The one with the kittens, though, is just a bit too cute …

On other fronts?

If, like me, you’re something of a Dr Who fan, you’ll be pleased to see that there’s a new trailer, doing the rounds.

Which is interesting to see.   I’m thinking we’re hearing tinges of the new theme tune, where Jodie Whittaker’s encouraging us to subscribe.

Frustratingly, though … ?

There’s still no b•*§%y airdate.

Waily-Waily …

To quote some of Terry Pratchett’s odder characters.

The Shining — Hello …

17th August, 2016.

You know …

I’ve had less hours, this week, than I had the last full week I worked.

And … ?

AND I’m not sure I like what that’s done — or going to do — to next week’s payslip.

They’re ALL over two days!

Makes you wonder why I’m job-hunting doesn’t it?

However?

However, when I’m not actually working … ?

I’m trying to write Teasers, make video, put together a social life …

Oh … and catch a film or two.

Today … ?

Bit of a treat for my nephew, today: as he, his mother, and I, went to Basildon to see The BFG.   Which was fun: whizz-popping with the Queen got a LOT of laughter, I know that.

Of, course, this evening?   Having this evening free?  Well, that meant I could watch something I’d not seen: and that various people — over the past few days — urged me to correct.

You can tell it was the Stanley Kubrick directed, The Shining, can’t you?

The poster’s a bit of a clue …
