The Daily Teaser — 09-10-2012

9th October, 2012.

I have to be frank, I think this morning is definitely one of those Bleaugh mornings.

No, really … !

Mind you, I don’t actually mind feeling this tired, given I was up late both watching — and writing about — a film.

Yep.

It’s official.

I’ve now seen Prometheus.

And while it’s not the stunner we know Ridley Scott’s capable of — that honour goes to Bladerunner and Gladiator — it is still a very capable — and watchable — film.

Let’s get moving on, shall we?   Before I go back to bed …

‹‹·››

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi putting in her answers*.   Along with admitting she’s had a fantastic time at the recent writers conference she’d been too, she also bagged 5 out of 5.

Let’s see how she — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?   Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …

“I’ve always been a big fan of time travel, and I’m very into the notion that some day we’ll be able to do it. Beam me up!”

The Daily Teaser — 8-10-2012

Ah-HA … !

That seemed to work … !

Remember me mentioning I got a tax rebate, a few days ago … ?   A very welcome one, I should add.

It let me buy some milk, a loaf or two …

And pre-order the standard-definition version of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus.

Which is out on iTunes, today, and happily downloading, as we speak.

I’m happy.

I know what I’ll be watching at some point … !

~~~~~
Let’s move on, shall we?   Yesterday’s Teaser saw Debbi, Grub and my Mum putting in their answers.
With Debbi back from Bouchercon, and flattered to be mentioned in the same breathe as Terry Pratchett and Iain M. Banks*, it saw Grub bagging 2 out of 5, Mum getting 3 and Debbi — confirming her Big Beast status —  scoring 5 out of 5.
Let’s see how they — and you — do with today’s questions, shall we?   Here they are, along with the ‘How To’, License and video …
Q1) 8th October, 1962, saw Algeria join the United Nations: what’s the capital of Algeria … ?
I’ll leave you with this quote from the late Frank Herbert, who’s birthday it would’ve been, today …
“The thing we must do intensely is be human together. People are more important than things.”
Frank Herbert  October 8, 1920 – February 11, 1986
And given it’s also the birthday of Robert Kool Bell … ?
Let’s boogie …
*        Well, I can’t not mention my favourites, Debbi, play fair … ! :D
