Part from in areas where they’ve been postponed: because the relevant councils are being restructured.

Because it’s in Essex … ?

Brentwood’s is one of those elections.

Right at the moment … ?

I’m not sure whether to be worried, or not!

Did you know the UK’s holding local elections, this Thursday?

The UK’s holding local elections on Thursday: for both local councils, and the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner*.

It looks like there’s a Green candidate standing in my ward, this time.

Who I’m happy to vote for.

If they hadn’t?   I’d’ve done my usual thing: and spoilt my vote.

Which, to be frank?   Is what I’m going to do in the PFCC vote.

There’s no-one on that ballot I want to vote for.

It is — I’m told — a touch of osteoarthritis: so I’ve got a set of exercises to do.

Yes, before you ask: I was mildly sceptical; but these do seem to help, somewhat.

According to this pice on the BBC’s news site, Virgin Media’s internet service went down, yesterday.

I’m curious to know what happened: assuming Virgin can do that.

I think the last time I saw something like this, it was a couple of bank outages … where engineers at the server farm pulled out the wrong plug.

I’m wondering if it’s something like that.

Or someone playing Silly Buggers, and attacking 5g towers … !

But there we go: that’s what happens when you need … shopping … !

With the hours going up and down at the mo, things are … rough.

And possibly likely to get rougher.

I didn’t get the loan I put in for.

OK, the upside is, I don’t have to pay it off … 

But it could have help settle an immediate problem.

The Daily Teaser — 28-4-2016

Hmmm … 

I’ve got to make a confession, I had the day off, yesterday: ill.

With the usual intense stomach cramps.

I think I didn’t actually help myself, by walking to work.

Believe it or not, the walk up Warley Hill occasionally helps.

It didn’t yesterday: My guts didn’t actually calm down, until about four-ish.

After I’d had an emergency appointment with my doctor’s practise nurse, who prescribed a little something for me.

Which turns out to ALSO be handy for Irritable Bowel syndrome!

Ouch!

On other fronts … ?

I’m doing what I usually do, at this time of the morning: listening to Radio 4’s Today programme.

They’s had a piece on, telling us that the BBC is planing to work with Netflix, on a remake of Watership Down.

That’s — apparently — planned to be ‘less disturbing’ than the original.

Hmm … 

I don’t how to feel about that.

The scary bits are part of what made the original so memorable …
