Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 27th February, 2020.

27th February, 2020

Yes: it sound like I’ll be babysitting my nephew, Jude, this afternoon.

Which should be fun.

Assuming?   That I can persuade him that playing Sonic Racing’s a good idea.

There’s only SO much Jelly a body can take!

Ultimate chicken horse … ?

Dear lord …

I don’t suppose you’ve seen a 1992 film called Candyman, have you?   It was one of those fantastically memorable horror films that didn’t get too much coverage, and one I feel I have to re-watch, at some point.

There’s a new version out, this year.

We’ll have to see if it lives up to the original …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 28th June, 2019.

I’m right, aren’t I … ?   Aren’t I right … ?

No, honestly, I’m right!

Apple’s share price got a dent … !

Maybe not a big one, but none the less, a dent.

Why?

Because Chief Design Officer, Jony Ive — the man behind the original PowerBook, the iMac, iPod, iPhone, iPad, practically anything with Apple’s logo on it, including the upcoming MacPro, along side the early versions, and the PowerMacs that preceded it — is leaving Apple.

And will be forming his own design company.

OK, granted, his new company’s main client will be Apple.

But that’s a hell of a blow for the company.

With possibly the only comparison?

Being the death of Steve Jobs …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 29th June, 2018

29th June, 2018.

Yep: ‘strange mood’ is one way of putting it.

I think I’m getting a sense of general malaise: caused by the simple fact today is payday …

And the money I get … isn’t going to last much beyond today.

Wouldn’t you know it … ?

I do know that — last year — I got a tax rebate.   An honest to God, tax rebate.

Enough to put a chunk towards my rent, and get a new pair of glasses.

I’ve not had the form that tells me if I’m due another, this year.

And, frankly?   Much as I’d LOVE a great big chunk of money landing on my doorstep, I’m also realistic enough to realise I’ve never had a tax rebate, two years in a row.

I should coco … !
