It’s a Friday.
You know that as well as I do. It’s Friday, so I’m defrosting milk, mulling over the fact it’s Follow Friday, and very aware there’s a postal strike on, today.
The Communication Workers Union has picked the right day for it.

The temperature looks decidedly parky.
Our local postman? Usually only wears long trousers when it’s snowing.
He may need them, at some point!

Talking of the weather?
The Department of Work and Pensions — the government department that pays pensions and benefits — is going to be paying a ten pound bonus for Christmas: to those receiving some benefits.
Guess what?
I don’t qualify.
Drat.
That could’ve been handy.
I do — I think — qualify for the DWP’s Cold Weather Payment of twenty-five pounds: once we get seven or more cold days in a row.
But? I’ve messaged my Work Coach, just in case.
We’ll have to see.
