Doctor Who — The Savages — Episode 4 — A Review

16th April, 2025: Doctor WhoThe Savages.

Right …

It’s officially a Wednesday evening.

And … ?

I’ve been bored enough to give my microwave a once over.

One of these days … ?

I’ll defrost my fridge … and possibly mop the kitchen floor.

Possibly … !

~≈👨‍⚕️≈~

At any rate … ?

It’s a Wednesday evening.

And, rather than risk skin cancer in the sunshine?

I’m going to spend the evening in: watching vintage TV.

Or, at least, the last episode of the reanimated, classic, Dr Who story, The Savages.

I’m writing this on the 16th April, 2025: and should have it, and its video equivalent, up and posted by the 17th April.

I will hopefully see you tomorrow … !

Doctor Who — The Savages — Episode 3 — A Review

9th April, 2025: Doctor WhoThe Savages.

The story of the day, so far … ?

Is that I’ve had a meeting with my job centre case worker.

And … ?

May have to do a course as a result.

We’ll have to see how that goes, I think.

At any rate … ?

It’s Wednesday.

So — as regular readers will know — it’s time for me to watch another episode of classic Dr Who serial, The Savages.

Then — from the position of a man getting his retaliation in, first! — telling you what I thought about it.

Just so you know?

You can read earlier reviews, here.

Or watch them, here.

See you tomorrow … !

Doctor Who — The Savages — Episode 2 — A Review

2nd April, 2025: Doctor WhoThe Savages.

Right then.

It’s officially Wednesday.

In case you didn’t know!

Which means … I am as bored as wosname.

And waiting for a blu-ray to turn up.

It struck me, the other day, that I haven’t seen Aliens — the sequel to Ridley Scott’s Alien — in many years.

So I felt it’s something I should correct.

There may be a review: you never know …

~≈👨🏼‍⚕️≈~

Ah … the things just got here …

And … ?

I bought the 4k version of Alien, recently.

And … ?

It has to be said for roughly the same price as the 4k Aliens box, Alien just had 2k and 4k versions of the film: with very little in the way of extras, beyond some audio commentaries.

The 4k box set of Aliens?   Includes a whole extra disc-full of extras.

At £19.99 for either?   Aliens seems far better value than Aliens.

~≈👨🏼‍⚕️≈~

At any rate … ?

It is — as I’ve already said! — Wednesday!

So, tonight … ?

I’ll be doing what I promised I’d do.

I’m going to be watching episode two of classic Dr Who story, The Savages.

Then — hopefully — tell you about it, by tomorrow night.

By the time you finish reading this … ?

You’ll know what I think.

Doctor Who — The Savages — Episode 1 — A Review

26th March, 2025: Doctor Who — The Savages.

Yes: it’s officially official.

It’s a Wednesday.

And … ?

I seem to have a lot of time on my hands.

But you knew that: if you’ve been following both my blog, and my YouTube channel, for a while.

So … ?

What with one review after another?

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy.

To the point I’ve bought something from Amazon.

Yes: I’ve now own Scream of the Shalka: and will watch that at some point.

But, before I go near that … ?

I’ve also — as you’ve noticed — got a copy of the classic Dr Who story, The Savages: the most recently released re-animated story and the last to feature Peter Purves as Steven Taylor.

Frankly?

I’ve been looking forward to this for a while …

Doctor Who — The Celestial Toymaker — Episode 4 — “The Final Test” — A Review

27th September, 2024: the announcement!

Yes: it’s that time of the week, again: it’s Friday.

And, frankly?

Well, if you’d read this morning’s Teaser, you’d realise I’ve had some interesting news.

Possibly, I’ve picked up some extra financial help.

I’m not going to count my chickens before their hatched: but extra money is always welcome.

I need a new mattress, if nothing else.

At any rate … ?

It’s Friday: so dinner is being done, while I polish my notes off for “The Final Test”.

And gently cook a piece of cod.

By the time you read this?

It’ll be …

Doctor Who — The Celestial Toymaker — Episode 3 — “The Dancing Floor” — A Review

20th September, 2024: the Introduction.

Just to be different … ?

I’ve changed things around, today.

Yes: I’ve put that nice red picture … on the other side of this post!

Which possibly only makes sense if you’ve read earlier posts!

At any rate, it’s Friday: shopping is done, phones appointments out of the way …

And dinner started.

All I need to do, now … ?

Is possibly clean the carpet: and let you know I’started this post, yesterday!

Doctor Who — The Celestial Toymaker — Episode 2 — “The Hall of Dolls” — A Review

13th September, 2024: An Introduction.

Yes: it’s Friday, again.

And, frankly?

I’ve had a quiet day.

Bar getting a little shopping … and forgetting to pick up a prescription!

Never mind!

At any rate … ?

It’s a Friday: dinner is cooking.

And … ?

Once I’ve had that, and caught another episode of The Big Bang Theory … ?

I’ll be watching the next episode of classic Dr Who series, The Celestial Toymaker: you’ll be reading this, or watching the video version, by Sunday, 15th September.

I’ll see you then.

6th September, 2024: An Introduction.

It’s officially Friday.

No: I’m not going to not have fish and chips.

I’ve got the fish cooking, as I write.

And I’m just about to make the chips!

At any rate … ?

It’s a Friday night, and, once I’ve had dinner?

I’m going to start watching the recently released Classic Dr Who serial, The Celestial Toymaker: and should have my written and video reviews done by Sunday.

I’ll, hopefully, see you then!
