I’ve just reset my sister’s laptop: and have listed it on Facebook, this morning.

I’ve had about three people asking.

About it, already: including one who seems VERY interested!

We’ll have to see how that goes.

Not exactly sub-zero: but definitely a temperature with an edge.

Which means … ?

That having a haircut, yesterday, possibly wasn’t the wisest idea … but at least I feel less shaggy.

Right … 

I’m left-handed.

You’ve possibly realised that, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while.

I’m a southpaw that’s always got my eyes peeled on design.

Kettles?   Have to have a measuring window on both sides.

Handles … ?   Door handles … ?   Don’t get me started on handles, scissors, steak knives, tin openers, what-have-you …

Oh … and mice.

Part of the reason I like Macs is the tradition one button mouse: you can change them to left handed use, simply by putting them on the left hand side of the desk.

Windows two button mice, by contrast?   You have to fiddle about, trying to find the relevant settings.   It’s doable*.   But fiddly.

Which is why I’m off to the library.

With Essex Library’s recent upgrade to Windows 10?   They managed to remove the ability to change mouse buttons around.

Something I complained about: both to the Library service, AND to my local county councillor, David Kendall.

He’s email, this morning, to tell me that the IT section has added a shortcut to the main desktop of Essex Library computers: something I didn’t notice, the last time I was there.

Hence another trip.

I won’t necessarily believe it: until I see it.

Just as a quick thought for the technology fans, out there?

I’ve recently read a recent article on the BBC’s technology pages: about the Raspberry Pi.

It’s fascinating to see how well the small-form-factor computer has done.

Especially when you realise the thing’s the third most popular computer, by sales, on the planet … 

Next to the PC, and the Mac.

That’s one up for the UK … !

Yep … I’m still feeling rough.

To the point where 69p on a bag of really powerful cough sweets helped: and was possibly the only thing that got me through work, yesterday.

I’m also VERY aware of blot spam: or comment spam, as it’s sometimes called.

I’ve had two or three bits of it try and get past the moderation.

I’m just glad I managed to switch the thing on, all those years ago … !

I actually got to sleep about half past one: after finishing at 10·30.

You would not BELIEVE how time flies, when texting a friend, late at night.
