Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17th April, 2023.

17th April, 2023.

Right … I’m up early, today.

And, normally?

I’d be phoning the Job Centre to find out what’s happening with my benefits.

Oh, the rent increase has gone through, so you know: the new service charges are frightening*!

At any rate … ?

I’m not, at the moment.

I’m up early, so I can get to my weight management class: that’s open for just a few short hours.

I’m looking forward to it.

But won’t know how it’s gone, until I get back.

We’ll have to see, won’t we?

Did I mention I’ve got a song on, in the background?

The Sensational Alex Harvey Band’s version of Delilah.

The singer died too soon!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17th April, 2022

17th April, 2022.

Yay … !

It’s officially Easter Sunday!

Which means … ?

Not a lot: unless you like a lot of chocolate.

But there you go: have a good one, if you’re marking it.

Oh …

I managed to catch another episode of Star Trek Discovery’s fourth series.

Episode four, so you know.

It’s got to be said: Sonequa Martin-Green is looking increasingly magisterial.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 17-4-2017

Right …

I’ve officially seen The Pilot.

In case you’re wondering?

That’s the first episode of series 10 of Dr Who, so you know: originally broadcast on Saturday night.

And … ?

“And?” I hear you say?

Well …

I was impressed: that’s a very strong episode, with a hell of a lot of emotional depth, tight plotting …

And a very impressive début from Pearl Mackie as new companion, Bill Potts.   Feisty, intelligent, wonderful speaking voice …

There’s talk she’s only going to be in the show for one season.

If that’s the case?

That’s a distinct shame: going on this first appearance, Bill Potts is a very strong character.
