Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10-11-2025 — Gone for a (Richard) Burton.

10th November, 2025: Richard Burton.

I meant to mention this, yesterday.

But, if you’re on certain benefits in the UK, you qualify for the Government’s Warm Home discount: a £150 payment that goes onto your electricity bill.

Mine … ?

Went onto my meter, on Saturday afternoon.

I’m grateful.

It means that — on my next payday — I can put the money I spend on electricity, onto my gas bill.

The older I get, the worse my circulation feels, so the warmer I prefer it.

Either way, that payment’s welcome.

The fact the batteries had run out on my thermostat, this morning … ?

Wasn’t … !

“The Welsh are all actors.   It’s only the bad ones who become professional.”
Richard Burton.
A Jeff Wayne LP …

And an earworm …

The next ten question set is on 5th December: it’s about The Great Smog!

Your comments will be published, tomorrow morning.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided, when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum.   (It was George 5th, Mum, rather than Edward 8th.   Edward 8th was invested as Prince of Wales in 1911, not 1901.)

It was George 5th, Debbi, so you know!   (Everyone’s got an Edward 8th thing going on, today!)
It’s not that weird, I think.   Right at the moment … ?   Hollywood’s got a lot of financial muscle: that helps them stay where they are, I think.   It’s only Bollywood, or Nollywood, that can keep up.
Glad I could help with the address: I’ve mentioned I passed it on, to Gillian, Trevor’s sister.
Cheers for the mention, Debbi!   (I could be wrong … but Victoria could be a Blake’s Seven fan … )
