6th November, 2025.
Right, then … !
It’s officially Thursday … !
And … ?
Amazon get worse!
They’ve officially refunded the delivery charge on a package that was due on Satuday … but that turned up on Sunday.
But … ?
They’ve told me, this morning, that a final package, one due, today … is now due on the 15th.
Nine days after its due date.
Why?
I have no idea … !

I have to admit: I’m on an NHS waiting list: for testing for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, for ADHD.
Apparently?
I’m due for an appointment in November of 2026.
So?
Something that caught my attention were news reports: that tell us many specialist ADHD services are closing their waiting lists.
Or, at least, tightening the criteria to be added to them.
Quite how that will affect me?
I don’t know.
But?
I’m understandably concerned.
Let’s move on.
Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Irene† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Debbi and Irene scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.
Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?
Q1) 6th November is the feast day of Saint Demetrian. Demetrian was from which Mediterranean island: Sicily, Corsica or Cyprus?Q2) Actor, Tony Todd, died on 6th November, 2024. He played the titular villain in which horror franchise: The Crow, Hellraiser or Candyman?Q3) Racketeer, Arnold Rothstein, died on 6th November, 1928. What was his nickname: Pinky, the Brain or Mumbles?Q4) Edmund Mortimer was born on 6th November, 1391. He was the 5th Earl of March, and 7th Earl of where: Ulster, Dublin or Wexford?Q5) Finally … ? 6th November, 1908, saw the birth of Tony Canzoneri. He was a heavyweight what: wrestler, boxer or karate-ka?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …
Q1) In the UK, 5th November is Guy Fawkes Night. It marks the day Guy Fawkes tried to blow up where: the House of Commons, the House of Lords or Westminster Hall?Q2) Fawkes was discovered in an undercroft of the building. With thirty-six barrels of what: gunpowder, semtex or Trinitrotoluene?A2) Gunpowder.Q3) The plot Fawkes was involved with, consisted of English whom: English Roman Catholics, English Muslims or English Jews?Q4) In the run up to Guy Fawkes night, children would ask for a what: a penny for the Guy, a sweetmeat or a tuppenny upright?A4) A penny for the Guy.Q5) Finally … ? Push Penny would be celebrated on Guy Fawkes Night. Where: Bristol Cathedral, Canterbury Cathedral or Durham Cathedral?A5) Durham Cathedral. (Apparently, the practise died out in the middle of the nineteenth century: and involved throwing twenty shillings, one old pound, in copper, into the crowd. According to one site I checked with, that pound would now be worth roughly £117.)
Here’s a thought …
“It’s a wonderful feeling to be remembered after all these years.”Tony Canzoneri, November 6, 1908 – December 9, 1959.
And a song …
The next ten question set is on 10th November: and is about actor, Richard Burton.
Your comments will be published, tomorrow morning.
Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.
AI is avoided, when writing these questions.
Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.
Decisions about scores are final.
Thank you for coming: have a good day.
* Hello, Mum! (The gunpowder was under the House of Lords, Mum, not the House of Commons. The king’s not allowed in the Commons, remember?)
† Good morning, Irene: how is the day … ?
‡ I’ll have to keep an eye open for that one, Debbi: after I’ve freed up some space!
I’ve got the original graphics novel on my shelves, somewhere. It’s quite different to the film, I know that. As an example? The Stephen Fry character is a TV presenter in the film: but a gangster in the book. Heigh-ho!

Hi, Paul. Just stopped by to say hello. It's amazing how although I have given up on some of the things I was doing online, I don't seem to have managed to get any more time than before. Probably because I end up doing more of other things, because now I should have the time. But as things with mother are getting slower, I probably don't have that much more time, if you know what I mean.
I hope the closures in the services don't affect your appointment. Fingers crossed!
