Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11th March 2026.

11th March, 2026.

Right … it’s officially Wednesday … and … ?

YouTube seems to be behaving itself, and uploading today’s Teaser video: and has already finished uploading today’s intro video.

The version of that introduction I’ve uploaded to the blog post … ?

Is getting deleted: as, going by the preview I’ve looked at, it’s going to be ‘Unavailable’.

Why this is happening?

I don’t know.

But if you have an ideas?

Please post them here.

All that said?

I think I’m getting the hang of Final Cut Pro’s Magnetic Mask option: it’s used in that same introduction video, to remove my flat.

If you understand what I mean!

At any rate … ?

It means I can do some experimenting, at some point.

One final thing about Final Cut … ?

Is that it can import projects from the iOS version go iMovie.

Which is handy: if you’ve got an iOS device with an iMovie project on it.

However, the Mac version of Final Cut can’t import projects from the macOS version of iMovie.

That strikes me as a flaw.

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga* and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with everyone scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        Helen Rollason was born on 11th March, 1956.   In 1990, she was the first female presenter of which show: Newsround, Grandstand or Sport on Friday?

Q2)        11th March is the Day of Restoration of Independence of where: Lithuania, Estonia or Latvia?

Q3)        The Great Blizzard started on 11th March.   Of which year of the 1880s?

Q4)        The Saint Germain bombing took place on 11th March, 1892.   Where: Lyons, Paris or Toulouse?

Q5)        Finally … ?   Harvey Mandel was born on 11th March, 1945.   He played guitar for which band: Status Quo, Canned Heat or Dumpy’s Rusty Nuts?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        10th March is the UN sponsored International Day of Women what: brewers, judges or chemists?
A1)        Judges.

Q2)        Lawyer and politician, the Right Honourable Kim Campbell, was born on 10th March, 1947.   She was the nineteenth Prime Minister of which Commonwealth nation?
A2)        Canada.

Q3)        10th March is the feast day of Pope Simplicius.   As pope, he was bishop of where: Rome, Milan or Sicily?
A3)        Rome.

Q4)        Film producer, Stanley R. Jaffe died on 10th March, 2025.   He produced which 1987, Michael Douglas film?

Q5)        Finally … ?   The French Foreign Legion was founded on 10th March, 1831.   If you’re a legionary who is wounded on active duty, you’re immediately allowed to become a French citizen.   The provision is called ‘Français par le sang versé’: you are ‘French by spilled’ what?
A5)        Spilled blood.   (I don’t know if it applies if you’re killed on active service: but assume it does.   Either way, the phrase seems very dramatic but no more dramatic that getting shot in combat.)
Here’s a thought …
“My butt’s heading closer to the ground every year, and I’m not overjoyed about that.”
Alex Kingston, born 11 March 1963.
And a Nina Hagen song …

The next ten-question set is on 25th March: it’s about Greece.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

I got there on time, Olga: but it WAS a bit of a rush!   (I’ve got the hygienist’s appointment, today!)

        I think she’s just Romana, when you’re writing her, Debbi.   Um … … …
Oh, did I mention the EXPERIMENT … ?
