Nik Nak’as Daily Teaser — 11-4-2026 — The Apple 1

11th April, 2026: the Apple 1.

Right, then: it’s officially official.

I’ve seen another episode of The Daleks’ Master Plan.

And I’m greatly saddened: that so many episodes of the thing are missing.

As wonderful as the remaining episodes are … ?

I’m very aware there’s huge gaps.

And dearly wishing Aunty would release the thing as an animated bluray!

I’d buy one!

In other news … ?

The Artemis 2 mission has safely returned to Earth: with a crew that’s described as “happy and healthy”.

Good for them!

At this stage, the only minor concern is, I’m told, the heat sheilds: although they seemed to have worked, and worked well.

But … ?

I can still remember the Colombia Disaster, the accident that saw a space shuttle burn up on re-entry, because of a defective heat shield.

I can only hope NASA’s keeping an eye on those …

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        The Apple 1 computer was created on 11th April: of which year of the 1970s?

Q2)        The Apple 1 was designed by whom: Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak or Ronald Wayne?

Q3)        The company that built the Apple 1 was called the Apple Computer Company.   The company’s now called what?

Q4)        The Apple 1 could be connected to a what: tv set, radio or cinema projector?

Q5)        Finally … ?   The Apple 1 stored data and programs on what: cassettes, CDs or DVDs?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        The first US Arbor Day was celebrated on 10th April, 1872.   In which US state?
A1)        Nebraska.

Q2)        What are you supposed to do on Arbor Day: plant trees, make love or sing songs?
A2)        Plant trees.

Q3)        In Azerbaijan, 10th April is what: Builder’s Day, Carpenter’s Day or Bricklayer’s Day?
A3)        Builder’s Day.

Q4)        10th April is the feast day of William of Ockham.   The Ockham in question, is where: Sussex, Surrey or Suffolk?
A4)        Surrey.   (Ockham’s Razor, the principle named for William, says the simplest explanation is usually the correct one.   A conspiracy theorist will probably blame the aliens for that …)

Q5)        Finally … ?   Haley Joel Osment was born on 10th April, 1988.   He plays Cole Sear in which Bruce Willis movie?
A5)        The Sixth Sense.
Here’s a thought …
“As relatively few Apple I computers were made before the model was discontinued, coupled with their status as Apple’s first product, surviving Apple I units are now displayed in computer museums and demand high prices at auction.”
From the Wikipedia entry on the device.
A video from the 8-Bit Guy …

And an earworm …

The next ten question sets are on 16th, 21st and 23rd April. They’re about World Voice Day, Elizabeth 2nd and León and Castile.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

If it’s any encouragement, Debbi, it was the first appearance of Nicolas Courtney …
