The Daily Teaser …

Hmmm …

Looks like I’ve got both an early start, and a long day ahead of me: I’ve managed to rearrange the interview I got lost going to, the other day: hopefully, I’ll have some old friends, over, later: and — so long as I’m not so tired my head falls off — it’s movie night, tonight.

I’d better make this quick, then, hadn’t I … ?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor, Kaiju, Libellous and George all putting up answers: and you should see the timestamps on Trevor and Kaiju’s answers!

Bang on the dot of 8:37:00, yesterday.

Which is only the second time we’ve had a case of the Simultaneous Clap!

What makes it interesting is that both of them got 5 out of 5: and with Libellous on 4 and George on 1, I’d say that puts Trevor and Kaiju ahead of the pack!

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 19 April, 1995, saw at least 80 people killed by a car bomb: in which US city?

Q2) The car bombing in Q1) had — according to the man who carried it out — been carried out in retaliation for the siege that had ended on 19th April, 1993: this had been the siege of the Branch Davidian sect compound in which Texan town?

Q4) 19th April, 1956, saw Prince Ranier 3rd of Monaco marry … whom?

Q5) 19th April, 1948, saw Burma join the United Nations: what is Burma now called?

Q6) And finally … 19th April, 2005, saw His Holiness, Pope Benedict 16th being elected: prior to this, how was he known?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

A1) The Premium Bond.

Q2) Fifty years earlier, 18th April, 1906, saw a massive earthquake hit which US city?

A4) Trafalgar Square.
