Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 13-4-2022: Jefferson.

13th April, 2022.

It’s official: both the Prime Minister — Boris Johnson — and the Chancellor of the Exchequer — Rishi Sunak — have been fined: for attending parties during the COVID 19 lockdown.

They’ve paid the fines, and apologised to anyone who’ll believe them: but rejected calls for their resignations.

Somehow?   I’m not surprised.

Personally?   You and me breaking the rules — and paying a fine — is one thing.

But for people holding the highest offices in the country* … ?

I don’t know if they should.

But don’t think their apologies are good enough.

Did I mention my nephew, Jude, was here, yesterday?

My nephew, Jude, was here, yesterday.

And you can find out what he looks like in his most recent videos …

That’s him on the left, at the start of the first video …

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 12th April, 2022.

12th April, 2022.

Right … Today’s Teaser’s up early: as I’m officially Jude sitting, today.

There’s a distinct possibility of more videos: just so you know.

In other news?

I’ve managed to get in touch with both my landlords: and the Department of Work and Pensions who pay my rent.

Thankfully, Clarion have told the DWP about the current, correct, level of rent.

But?

Have sent me a .pdf copy of the letter they sent me, back in February.

That’s helpful: I can keep hold of that, if there’s any issues.

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 11th April, 2022.

11th April, 2022.

Right … I mentioned it, yesterday: I am having possibly rent issues.

As my landlords are putting the rent up.

But told the Department of Work and Pensions, who pay my benefits, they’re not.

When money’s this tight … ?

That’s not what you want to hear.

What it DOES mean … ?

Is phoning them — and the Job Centre — to try and get this corrected.

Here’s hoping!

Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 10-4-2022

10th April, 2022.

Yes: I’m mildly annoyed.

I’m on benefits: including the housing component of Universal Credits.

My rent’s going up: so, after getting the official letter to say so, I’ve notified the relevant people at the Department of Work and Benefits.

Yesterday — Saturday — I got a message for the relevant bodies: to tell me the relevant part of my benefits wasn’t going up.

On a Saturday … !

A Saturday … !

Letting me know on Friday — a day earlier — would’ve been nice.

Or tomorrow, a Monday.

On either day, I could’ve done something.

Instead, the DWP informs me on Saturday.

When I can’t.

Dear lord … but things can get frustrating.

Star Trek Discovery — Series 4 Episode 3 — Choose to Live — A Review

8th April, 2022.

It’s Friday: as I think I mentioned in today’s Teaser.

And the end of — for me — what feels like a long week.

Meetings, Zoom calls, more Zoom calls, and trips — however brief — to Chelmsford.

I could’ve done with out the Zoom meeting — an interview — on Monday.

Let’s just say it went badly, and leave it there, shall we … ?

At any rate: it’s Friday.

Which means to things, by now.

Fish and homemade chips.

And Choose to Live: the third episode of Star Trek Discovery’s fourth season.

I’m writing this intro on Friday, 8th April, 2022: and should have the written and video review up by tomorrow night.

Saturday, 9th April, 2022.

Assuming I don’t choke on a chip, or get hit by a car!.
