Now, that’s weird.
I’ve got to admit, I’ve been floating around the net, and looking at a few history sites.
Bit of personal history. After something of a rough patch, I managed to get a small council bedsit — well, Brentwood council called it a flat, I called it a bedsit, an estate agent would probably call it a granny annex, or a broom cupboard — at what’s now called Four Oaks, in Ingrave Road, and right next to Shenfield Common.
Nice place, for one guy, living on his own.
I’ll happily admit, I made friends, there, even enjoyed myself. But … well … times move on.
At any rate, got to looking round the net and managed to find a few shots of the place, back when it was Brentwood Cottage Hospital. Saying that, there’s nothing more recent than the bottom shot, dating from 1921.
