You know, I’ve got admit, I’ve sort of kind of been shopping …
Sort of …
But let’s get one thing out of the way first, shall we … ?
Yes …
I’ve been nattering with one of my neighbours, who’s on very good terms with the Crest Nicholson builders.

If I’ve understood him correctly, it sounds like the actual flats are to be completed a touch earlier than expected — November, again, if I’ve understood him correctly — which means that the maintainence period needed before Rollason Way can be adopted by the relevant council can start a lot sooner!
Which is all to the good!

Now, about the shopping I mentioned … ?
Well …
It wasn’t actually me doing the shopping.
Actually, it was Kevin D, who’s been after an exterior drive for some time …

And managed o find a couple of places that looked — looked — like they may have one at a reasonable price.
Which I’ve got to admit, we couldn’t, unfortunately.
Well …
Not in any of the smaller shops, at any rate.
We did manage to find him one in the Brentwood branch of Argos: a 500 gigabyte Iomega USB exterior hard-drive.
Something he intends to use mostly for storage: although hopefully, Adrian and I will talk him into putting a bootable drive.
Complete with an extra OS …
I’ll let you know …

But one thing I do know is that — in our little stroll ’round the High Street — we happened to stop in the Computer Repair shop in Ropers yard.
Who couldn’t do the exterior drive at a price Kevin liked.
But did find out that the shop’s owner had a vintage coffee table version of one of the old Space Invadermachines. One rigged up with a coin slot that would take modern 10p pieces. But that came with the original coin mechanism.
It’s just a shame neither me or Kevin had the £750 to £800 asking price.
Because either of us would’ve happily had it in our front rooms.
Oh, and as a final thought for you … ?
The sign in the photo at the bottom … ?

Was in the Gents in the Brentwood branch of Starbucks.

And if you miss the logical snapper in the way its worded … .
