The Daily Teaser …

You know, I’ve got to admit, I think I’m going to have to do something drastic.

I think — think — I’m going to have to change the recipe for for me home made beef curry.

Or — at the very least — cut down on the amount of chilli powder I use.

Lets just say I’m moving about a lot.

And leave the rest to your imagination …

‹‹‹•›››

Yes, definitely leave it to your imagination … !

Lets move on, shall we … ?

Yes, let’s … !!

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor, Kaiju and Keith — who’s a new-comer to The Daily Teaser, but who I’ve known through Addicted to Discworld for quite some time — all putting in their answers: with Trevor and Keith scoring 5 out of 5, and Kaiju 4 out of 5.

Although I’m tempted to let Kaiju have an extra point: after all, I’ll apologise to Kaiju now, as I wasn’t aware he has this thing about spiders …

Lets see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 10th august, 610 AD saw which religious figure start on what’s regarded as his major work … ?

Q2) What was that work … ?

Q3) 10th August, 2003, saw cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko become the first person to do what in space … ?

Q4) Many years earlier, 10th August, 991, saw Bryhtnoth, Duke of Essex defeat a force of what in the Battle of Malden … ?

Q5) 10th August, 1939, saw the birth of actress, Kate O’Mara: which character’s sister did she play in Absolutely Fabulous.

Q6) And finally … 10th August, 1932, saw the death of which Hollywood star … ? (Or the original, at least … ?)

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers: oh, Kaiju, I’ve done a bit of double-checking on the release dates for 12 + 1 and The Wrecking Crew, it seems the latter got its US release first …

Q1) 9th august is celebrated as Frank Zappa Day: in which US city … ?

A1) Baltimore.

Q2) More to the point, how many species of spider are named after Frank Zappa … ?
A2) One: the Pachygnatha zappa

Q3) 9th August, 1969, saw the murder of Sharon Tate — and others — by a group led by Charles Manson: what was the name of her last movie?
A3) The Thirteen Chairs. (Also know as 12 + 1.)

Q4) 9th August, 1999, saw Japan formally name its flag: what is that flags name … ?
A4) The Nisshōki: it’s also known as the Hinomaru .

Q5) And finally … 9th August, 1899, saw the birth of Pamela Lyndon Travers, OBE: who is her most famous fictional creation … ?

A5) Mary Poppins.

Enjoy those, folks. I’ll catch you later … !

Okay Alexandra. You owe me a new monitor. Coffee spew just ruined mine.

(Note to self: Do not read Alexandra's responses while ingesting liquids.)
