Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 12-6-2018: Russia.

12th June, 2018.

Yes, sorry about that!   I’ve actually managed to find the basic audio filters on iMovie.

Hubba, Hubba!

OK, that’s possibly not much of an achievement.

But it does mean I can tweak any coming Teaser videos: for amazing, and outrageous comedic effect.

Yeah … right … !

Let’s move on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with Olga scoring five out of five, and Debbi scoring four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 12th June is Russia Day: marking the day Russian declared itself sovereign.   Russia’s the largest country on Earth.   By what: population, area or border?
Q2) How many time zones does the country cover: eleven, twelve or thirteen?
Q3) The country share’s maritime border with Japan: and which US state?
Q4) What’s the capital city of Russia?
Q5) Finally … ?   Name any one of the three colours in the Russian flag …
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 11th June is the feast day of St. Riagail of Bangor.   This particular Bangor is in which of the home nations of the UK: Wales, England or Northern Ireland?
A1) Northern Ireland.
Q2) Bangor in Gynedd, and Bangor on Dee, are both in which of The UK’s home nations?
A2) Wales.
Q3) Bangors is in which English county?
A3) Cornwall.
Q4) The hamlet of Bangor — in Berkshire — is mentioned in the Domesday Book.   A hamlet is a type of small village that doesn’t have what: a barn, a church or a reeve?
A4) A church.
Q5) Finally … ?   A banger is a what: a sausage, old car or firework?
A5) Actually … ?   All three.
Here’s a thought …
“Russia has only two allies; its army and navy.”
Tsar Alexander 3rd.
And a song …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        I know what you mean, Olga!   I’m the same: I miss an episode or two, and the show’s over.   Did you ever see Agents of SHIELD?   I missed a couple of episode of that, as a result of the mid season hiatus that Channel 4 imposed — dratted thing — and gave up on the thing.   (Channel Four had to do it: they were showing the series on the same day as the US broadcaster, and couldn’t show the episode before it did.)

†        Might just have to look at the Kindle edition, there, Debbi: either way, I’ve wish listed it.   (Yeah, seeing earlier versions of the Doctor can be quite a shock.   I can remember reading the Target novelisation of Tomb of the Cybermen, and realising it was Patrick Troughton …)

I've caught bits of Agents of Shield but haven't followed it. In the last few years, with my comings and goings from Spain to the UK I haven't followed many series, in either place. Interesting sound effects. I look forward to more. I hope it's a good day, work and all.

Yes, shocking. But not so much as to put me off the show, fortunately! :)

2. 11
3. Alaska
4. Moscow
5. red (also, blue and white)

We celebrated the Stanley Cup win in DC today. And, speaking of Russia, one of the big stars of the show was Alex Ovechkin. What an amazing athlete! In fact, an amazing team.
