Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 21st August 2025.

21st August 2025.

Right … I’m expecting a phone call, today: from the local mental health unit.

It’s a triage session: one I hope will lead to a diagnosis — or not — of ADHD.

I’m …

Well, I’m several things.

But, right now?

I feel nervous about it.

~≈😬≈~

That has reminded me, though: that there’s a couple of other calls to make.

One … ?

To book up my next set of quarterly diabetic blood tests.

The other?

To order more test strips and lancets, stuff the goes with the blood sugar monitor I have.

I don’t know about anyone else … but I seem to get through those, quickly!

~≈🧪≈~

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Mum*, Olga† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s [insert number here] question set, shall we?

Here it is, along with the How To, License and video.

Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Here’s a personal observation …
“I don’t consider myself to be a quote-unquote ‘good girl’.   I’m not prim and proper and polite.”
Alicia Witt, born August 21, 1975.
And a song about confectionary …

The next ten question set is on 25th August: it’s about Nottinghamshire.

Comments will be published, tomorrow morning.

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        Hello, Mum!

†        They should be able to help, Olga: assuming libraries have an online news service.   Essex Libraries don’t, by the look of things.   That’s a shame, that could’ve been useful!   (It’s got a set of fraud prevention leaflets from the Met: that’s useful.)

Or our feet, Debbi!   If there’s any bookshops near you … ?

I got a library card a few years back, but I haven't used it much, as I have so much material to read online and on my Kindle already...
I hope the phone call goes well and they offer you an appointment that is not too far off.
