Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 22nd December 2025.

22nd December, 2025.

OK: I’ll admit it!

I’ve got an earworm, lurking around again!

Joy Sarney’s “Naughty, Naughty, Naughty”, before you ask.

I wish I knew why: I’ve only ever seen a Punch and Judy show, once!

~≈👊≈~

Hmmm …

The thought occurs: that it’s almost Christmas, and almost pay day, as well.

And … ?

I’ll be able to sort out my bills when that happens.

And sort out one last roll of wrapping paper.

For the one present that managed to turn up late!

There’s always that one Amazon delivery … !

~≈🎁≈~

Which reminds me … I have my usual diabetic review, on Wednesday: which I think will include my annual foot check.

Yes: I’d’ve got it out of the way.

But … ?

It’s at 10·10 in the morning.

Yes: I’m going to be up early … !

Let’s move on.

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga*, Mum† and Debbi‡ putting in their answers: with Olga and Debbi scoring five out of five, and Mum on four.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video.

Q1)        22nd December is the feast day of Saint Hunger: a one-time bishop of Utrecht.   Modern Utrecht is in which country: Switzerland, the Netherlands or Belgium?

Q2)        The Lincoln Tunnel opened on 22nd December, 1937.   It goes under which American river: the Mississippi, the Hudson or the Rio Grande?

Q3)        22nd December, 1964, saw the first flight of the experimental SR-71 plane.   The plane was nicknamed the what: Crow, Raven or Black Bird?

Q4)        22nd December saw the start of what was the longest US government shut-down on record.   22nd December of which year: 2018, 2019 or 2020?

Q5)        Finally … ?   The home of former Prime Minister, Edward Heath, was attacked on 22nd December: an attack blamed on the IRA.   The attack took place in which year of the 1970s?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1)        21st December, 1963, saw the first appearance of the Daleks.   In which TV show: Dr Who, Bleep and Booster or Hancock?
A1)        Dr Who.

Q2)        The first of that show’s stories to feature the Daleks was called The Daleks.   What was the second Dalek story called: The Dalek Invasion of Earth, The Chase or The Daleks’ Master Plan?
A2)        The Dalek Invasion of Earth.

Q3)        The first two Dalek stories were turned into movies: with Peter Cushing as the arch-enemy of the Daleks.   Who was that enemy: Doctor Who, the Doctor or the Meddling Monk?   (I’m going to be strict about the answer, here: there’s a good chance the one you’re thinking of is wrong …)
A3)        Believe it or not, Dr Who.

Q4)        The Daleks fought the Time Lords.   In the Last Great … what
A4)        Time War.

Q5)        Finally … ?   The Curse of The Daleks was the first stage play to feature the Daleks.   It debuted on 21st December of which year of the 1960s?
A5)        1965.
Here’s a thought …

“I think it’s a badge of honour to have a real flop on your resume.”
Ralph Fiennes, born born 22 December 1962.

And a song …

There’s a twelve question set is on 31st December, 2025: it’s the review of 2025.

The next ten question set is on 1st January, 2026: it’s about The Archers.

Your comments, and today’s answers, will be published in tomorrow’s Teaser.

AI is avoided when writing these questions.

Answers are as accurate as possible: at the time of writing.

Decisions about scores are final.

Thank you for coming: have a good day.

*        I’ll keep my eyes peeled, Olga!
I know what you mean, though, about arrangements: they struck me as … fiddly …

Hello, Mum!   (It’s Dr Who in the two movies, Mum: it’s ‘the Doctor’ on TV.)

Probably emailing it’s the best bet, Debbi: I can forward it on to Penny, that way.
It’s ‘Dr Who’ in the movies, Debbi.   And ‘The Doctor’ in the TV show.   Unless it’s The War Machines, where the deranged super computer refers to him as ‘Dr Who’.   I think there’s a Peter Capaldi episode, too …
