Star Trek Strange New Worlds — Episode 8 — The Elysian Kingdom — A Review

Right … it’s Friday.

And?

I can safely say vegetables are boiling, chips are doing, and some fish is being baked in the oven.

Wikipedia … ?   Tells me the reason we have it on a Friday, is that the Roman Catholic Church forbade eating red meat on a Friday.

Which explains that.

WHY they did that?   And Orthodox Churches forbade it — and sex — on a Friday?

I really don’t know.

I’m assuming it’s for religious reasons: they are churches, after all.

What those are?

I’m blowed if I know!

At any rate … ?

Yes: it’s officially Saturday.

Which means … ?

Frankly, it means I’ve got the blood tests out of the way: I’ve got to phone my GP’s to organise an appointment with the diabetes nurse, but they’re done for this quarter.

I’ve ALSO had a dentists checkup, as well.

Thankfully?

There’s nothing falling out.

And nothing that needs poking.

Yes: I’m mildly hungry.

Hungry, up early … and drinking as much water as possible.

In other words, I’m doing the usual basic stuff I have to do: as preparation for my quarterly diabetic blood tests.

It’s a much needed check.

But I’m looking forward to food!

He’s said in the interview that the UK’s current immigration policies are not helping businesses: as it’s not letting workers the country needs, into Britain.

As the man’s having to eat his own Brexit supporting words.

Many of us on Universal Credit — and other benefits — are due to receive the last half go the Cost of Living payment: between the 8th and 23rd November.

Mine turned up, yesterday.

A good chunk’s gone already: Christmas, and utilities, can do that to a body!

Oh, well!
