Oh, my good LORD, that’s better!!
As you’ve probably guessed, the King Harold’s had a problem or two, numbers wise.
Until tonight!
We had seven whole teams in tonight, all featured above.
From bottom to top, we have the Lots of Dicks, who came first with 64 points, Elizabeth, an old friend, who came in second with 52, DENSA, third, with 46, then Laura’s team, the Three French Hens, in fourth with 44 points, then the fifth placed Merry Knights, totaling 43, and, at the top, the Crunchy Bread Flakes, chasing the rear with 41, and walking off with the t-shirt!
Up top, as you’ve no doubt guessed by now, is the answers to the Xmas picture round, and I should credit paulsquiz.com for that. Very handy in any kind of quiz fix. Their address is in the side bar, I should add.
Any way, moving rapidly on, tonight’s Bonus question wasn’t won.
Which means that the minimum pot, at next week Big Fat Review of the Year quiz, will be £22•75. Building up nicely, isn’t it?
So you know, it was this; — “What is the connection between a No 1 hit for The Pretenders, the island of Cyprus and ‘The Lion King’?”
The answer’s quite simple. Metal.
The Pretender’s released a single, back in the day, called “Brass In Pocket”, Cyprus takes its name from the Latin word for copper — I’m assuming the Roman’s mined copper there —, and the character of Scar, in Disney’s “The Lion King”, was played by Jeremy Irons.
Nasty, moi? Never.
Well …
Anyway, I’ll post up the actual questions in the morning. If I don’t hear from you, before, folks, you have a peaceful, enjoyable, and above all, peaceful Christmas
