The Daily Teaser …

Phew!!

Well THAT seemed to work!

I actually managed to install the most recent version of Ubuntu — 9.04, otherwise known as Jaunty Jackalope — on one of Movie Night Adrian’s spare laptop’s. You can read more about that, here.

I’ve also got to big up @starlingpoet, over at Twitter! She’s managed to get 5 out of 5, in yesterday’s teaser; and, yes, J. K, I know you’re a day behind in the US, but … ! (He says, smiling!!)

At any rate, here’s today’s questions …

Q1) Who was elected as Labour Party leader, today , in 1994?

Q2) More to the point, which British constituency did he represent?

Q3) July 21st, 1970, saw the completion of which dam?

Q4) And in 1831, Leopold 1st became the first king of which European country?

Q5) And finally, the James-Younger gang — led by Jesse James — pull off the first successful what, in the USA?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 20th July, 1969, saw Neil Armstrong walk on the moon; 20th July, 1994, saw fragments of the Shoemaker-Levy comet strike which planet?

A1) Jupiter.

Q2) 20th July, 1976 saw the first human spacecraft land on which planet?

Q5) July 20th, 1881, saw the last of Lakota Sioux surrender to US forces, in North Dakota; which holy man ordered that surrender?

A5) Chief Sitting Bull.

And, before I sign off, I’m going to encourage everyone to give @starlingpoet a round of applause; she is the first person to get 100%; and yes, I know there’s no prizes.

But she does get a nice smug feeling she’s done well!

Enjoy those! I’ll catch you later!!
