The Daily Teaser …

You know, I’ve got to admit, I’ve had a rather odd experience …

At least I think I’ve had an odd experience …

Remember, I mentioned I had an interview, yesterday? Well, I looked the company up online.

Let’s just say I’m seeing either fluff, or complaints about them, or the parent group.

To the point where I’m wondering all sorts of stuff.

A couple of things got me thinking, I know that: the reception staff seemed very young. And the chap interviewing me seemed very keen to let me know the maximum earnings.

But not the average ones.

Which is another thing, the job concerned is all commission.

Literally, all commission. With on actually basic listed.

Or given, either.

He didn’t want to be too specific about exactly what they did, or who their clients were: they’re a marketing company for hire, but beyond that …

Let me know what you think, folks … !

•••••

Let’s get cracking on, shall we?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor, Simon, and Elizabeth — Pink and extremely Fluffy, as ever — putting in their answers, with Angela becoming — once again — our Resident Officially Stumped Person!

Trevor bagged the official First-In-Clap — or round of applause, before you ask, Elizabeth — he and Simon getting 5 out of five, and Elizabeth getting 2 out of 5.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 24th March, 1603, saw James 1st proclaimed as King of England: what was his title as king of Scotland?

Q2) 229 year’s later, 24th March, 1832, saw the tarring and feathering — in Ohio — of Joseph Smith Jnr: what religious movement did he found?

Q3) 148 years later, 24th March, 1980, saw the death of a noted San Salvadoreán Archbishop: what was his name?

Q4) 24th March, 1954, saw the birth of actor Robert Carradine: in which series of comedy films did he play Lewis Skolnick?

Q5) More to the point, which of Robert’s brother appeared as Bill, in Tarantino’s Kill Bill films?

Q6) What was the name of the oil tanker that ran aground, off Alaska, on March 24th, 1989?

Q7) And finally … 24th March, 1970 saw the birth of actress, Lara Flynn Boyle: in which cult TV series did she first achieve fame?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 23rd March, 1956, saw which country become the world’s first Islamic republic?
A1) Pakistan.

Q2) 23rd, March, 1982, saw President Ronald Reagan announce the Stategic Defense Initiative: how was this programme better known?
A2) The Star Wars programme.

Q3) 23rd March, 1857, saw the first what installed in a New York tower block?
A3) A lift. (Or elevator, in American English, I know Andrea and Angela are reading this … )

Q4) 23rd March, 1964, saw the death of actor Peter Lorre: which European country was he born in?
A4) Hungary.

Q5) And finally … 23rd March, 1889, saw the first run of which Thames ferry service?
A5) The Woolwich Ferry.

Enjoy those, everyone. I’ll catch you all later*!

Andrea Pinky lipped but not fluffy!

I'm not regretful about dropping acid, but I could have stopped it a little sooner.
