The Dracula Teaser

GAHHH!

I hate that when that happens!

I mildly hacked off. You can tell, can’t you … ?

Mostly on the basis that one of my regular question sources managed to get its dates wrong.

Which means I’ve had to rewrite today’s teaser!

Arrrggghhh!

Which is a shame, I think Trevor and Kaiju would’ve liked a themed teaser, especially after yesterday’s set of questions saw both of them bagging 5 out of 5.

Let’s see how they — and you — do with today’s hastily prepared questions, shall we … ? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 26th May, 1799, saw the birth of which Russian writer?

Q2) 26th May, 1886, saw the birth of which US singer?

Q3) More to the point, in which east european country was that singer born?

Q4) 26th May, 1950, saw the ending of which form of rationing in the UK … ?

Q5) 26th May, 1981, saw the PM of Italy — and his cabinet — resign over scandalous links to freemasonry: what was his name?

Q6) And finally … 26th May, 1992, saw the kidnapping of software developer, Charles Geschke: which software company is he a co-founder of?

And here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 25th May, 1895, saw who convicted of ‘Gross Indecency’?
A1) Oscar Wilde.

Q2) 25th May, 1895, ALSO saw the proclamation of which extremely short-lived East Asian republic?
A2) The Republic of Formosa.

Q3) 25th May, 1976, saw the birth of Irish actor, Cillian Murphy: in which 2003 film did he play a character called Jim?
A3) 28 Days Later.

Q4) Which British football team became the first to win the European Cup, on 25th May, 1967?
A4) Celtic FC>

Q5) And finally … 25th May, 2006, saw the death of which noted Ska musician?
A5) Desmond Dekker.

Enjoy those, everyone!

Too hard - but I did like listening to Desmond Dekker.

I noticed you are a Dr Who fan (a Whovian?). You might get a laugh out of this, our Aussie mischief makers, The Chasers:
