Nik Nak’s Daily Teaser — 26th March, 2018.

26th March, 2018.

Yep: it’s official.

If you’ve got facial paralysis of some description?   Eating is either fun, or bloody messy.   I had a bowl of cornflakes, yesterday: most of which ended up by my left foot.

Don’t even ask about French sticks.   I can’t get my mouth open wide enough!

As for tablets?

Seriously, I hate missing my alarm in the morning.

It’s a long standing bugaboo.

These days?

I make use of my phone: or my tablet.   Usually just the tablet.

Unless, of course, I — HA! — forget to plug the thing’s charger in, and so, not have an alarm clock.

You have to love a weekend like that … !

Let’s move on?

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Olga* and Debbi† putting in their answers: with both scoring five out of five.

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we?

Here they are, along with the How To, License and video …

Q1) 26th March, 1830, saw the publication to the text considered sacred by the Mormons: also known as the Latter Day Saints.   It’s known as the book of what?
Q2) It’s said to have been written in reformed … what?
Q3) The UK’s Gang of Four set up the Social Democratic Party on 26th March, 1981.   The Gang were a splitter group from which party?
Q4) The UK introduced what, on 26th March, 1934: a driving test, a driving license or the Highway Code?
Q5) Finally … Thirty-nine members of the Heaven’s Gate cult were found dead, on 26th March, 1997.   They committed mass suicide: to join the the crew of a spaceship following which comet?
Here’s yesterday’s questions and answers …

Q1) 25th March is the fan organised Tolkien Reading Day.   The was picked to mark the fall — in The Return of the King — of which character?
A1) Sauron.
Q2) 25th March, 1306, saw who named as King of Scotland?
Q3) 25th March, 1969, saw John and Yoko hold their first Bed In for … what?
A3) Peace.
Q4) 25th March, 1811, saw a student expelled from Oxford, for publicly advocating atheism.   Which student?
Q5) Finally … the world’s first passenger carrying railway took it’s first passengers on 25th March, 1807.   It was in which country of the UK?
A5) Wales.   It was called the Swansea and Mumbles Railway: and initially powered by horse!
Here’s a thought …
“I won’t mention names, but in my career, the most talented people invariably are the easiest and nicest to get along with.   The ones that are difficult try to camouflage the fact that they haven’t got shit to offer.   So they complain about frilly things that really don’t mean a shit, like their dressing rooms, makeup.”
James Caan, born March 26, 1940.
And a song‡ …

Today’s questions will be answered in tomorrow’s Teaser.

Have a good day.

*        Difficult doesn’t start, Olga!   I can’t go near cornflakes or peas at the moment: anything else can be cut into the right sized pieces, but cornflakes and peas … !   Cornflakes aside, I’m very self conscious about it …   At ANY rate, I’ve a weeks worth of meds: and I’m going to try and look into my GP’s to see what they say.   (It’s eight tablets in one go: in one go!   I told Debbi I’d be rattling … which I think is understating it!)

†        I know I’m making a mess with cornflakes, Debbi: and peas.   I’m eyeing the beans I’ve got in the fridge and thinking that’s possibly possibly something to put on hold … !   I need a bib!

‡        Have you heard of one of Lenny Henry’s wilder characters: one called Theophilus P. Wildebeest?   I’m convinced he’d been watching a few too many Teddy Prendergrass video …
