The Rollason Way Parking Saga … Continues … …

Hmmm …

Well, I’m thinking I should maybe some up quickly what I’ve picked up about the parking, around here.

We soon — in the actual car-parks at least —
be getting a clamping scheme on the go, introduced by Southern Anglia, the housing association that actually runs our estate; both rented and part-buy.

Complete with a couple of parking permits, for each household.

And that’s what’s kind of concerning me, here; from what I’ve been told, there’s a letter gone round from Sara Bartleman.

Detailing when we can go and pick them up.

Which — for starters — isn’t what she told me, when she looked in on me to explain what was going on.

From what I’ve understood from what she said, back then, she was planning to make sure she knocked on everyone's door, and make sure they signed for them individually.

On top of that, the night he told me we were supposed to be collecting them is a night I now I’m working.

When will the people who organise these things realise that not everyone has a nine-to-five job that enables them to pick these things up? I’m seriously hoping Sara will be poking her head round peoples door’s; I for one, would rather be grabbing something to eat, before I start work, rather than head in the opposite direction to pick up permits!

Quite simply, it means those of us without the luxury of time to do this, will be penalised by not able to either park, or have visitors who drive.

And that strikes me as ridiculous!

Moving rapidly along, here, something else I now is that — seemingly — I’m not the only person who’s writing about the State of the Street.

Apparently another chap who’s posted a brief poster up about the fact he’s running a site at Free Forums.org.

Which, after I’ve checked with both Safari and Firefox, on both Google and Yahoo, I’ve found doesn’t exist.

Um …

I wonder if there’s any chance of having the correct url posted up?

I mean, having the slash after .org’s the thing!

I’m blowed if I could get to it … !

Oh, and just as completely trivial minor point, Allison, bless her, decided to plait me hair, yesterday morning.

Which was fun! I just wish I could do that for meself!!

Here's the link Paul http://rollasonway.freeforums.org/
I'm sure if you contacted Sara she would arrange to get your permits to you.
