Would you believe, I’m hoping like HELL this works, I really am!
Because these first few lines I written in WorldText, on the iMac, with the newly installed version of Mac OS 9.2.2.
And a rather iWatering set of themes!
Oh, confusing, there’s no Delete button on the older keyboard!
I’d better not get anything wrong!!
I’ve also realised the Heads Up display works a bit differently in OS 9!
Well, it does!
When you hit ‘ctrl’ and ‘⇥’ in OS X — and I’m kicking myself for not getting a Grab — the built-in OS X Heads Up Display crops up in the middle of the screen, and lets you use ‘ctrl’ and ‘⇥’ to scroll through the open apps, to use them, quit them, what-have-you.
The key combo’s the same in OS 9.2.2 …
But, instead of the what I’d’ve expected, the scrolling HUD is in the top right hand corner of the screen; in the corner that Spotlight now occupies.
It’s also taken me a while to find the Launcher; what’s now the Dock, in OS X.
But it’s buried in the Control Panels Menu; accessible from the Apple Menu.
Confusing?
