A really SICK Puppy!!

Would you believe, I’m hoping like HELL this works, I really am!

Because these first few lines I written in WorldText, on the iMac, with the newly installed version of Mac OS 9.2.2.

And a rather iWatering set of themes!

Oh, confusing, there’s no Delete button on the older keyboard!

I’d better not get anything wrong!!

I’ve also realised the Heads Up display works a bit differently in OS 9!

Well, it does!

When you hit ‘ctrl’ and ‘’ in OS X — and I’m kicking myself for not getting a Grab — the built-in OS X Heads Up Display crops up in the middle of the screen, and lets you use ctrl’ and ‘’ to scroll through the open apps, to use them, quit them, what-have-you.

The key combo’s the same in OS 9.2.2 …

But, instead of the what I’d’ve expected, the scrolling HUD is in the top right hand corner of the screen; in the corner that Spotlight now occupies.

It’s also taken me a while to find the Launcher; what’s now the Dock, in OS X.

But it’s buried in the Control Panels Menu; accessible from the Apple Menu.

Confusing?

No, not really; that is, if I remember correctly, where Apple had put it, in OS 7.5.1, which is what the Performa was running. (But, if I’m right, 7.5.1)

Now, as you might just have worked out, I’m actually having fun, exploring this!

And I’m intent on putting up more, as and when!

But, for now?

I’m gonna hit the sack! I’ll be posting more about Tim’s Ubuntu, in the morning, as well!
