The Daily Teaser …

Phew!

It’s another early start, today.

And for the same reason’s as on Tuesday: I’ve got an interview, today.

Although this one’s in Chelmsford, rather than than Kentish Town, and sounds — as of here and now — a touch more legitimate than Tuesday’s one …

But I’m burbling, aren’t I?

And rather nervously, at that …

Oh, well, here’s hoping …

Let’s get moving on, shall we … ?

Yes, let’s … !

Yesterday’s Teaser saw Trevor and Andrea both getting 7 out of 7 — and getting me checking me sources, I’d had Twin Peaks down as an answer — and @MamaAlfy admitting she was stumped, again!

Maybe today, Angela!

Trevor, Andrea, Simon, what do you think?

Let’s see how everyone does with today’s questions, shall we? Here they are, along with the ‘How To’ and License

Q1) 25th March, 1306, saw who become King of Scotland?

Q2) 663 years later, 25th March, 1969, saw which honeymooning couple hold a Bed-In for Peace at the Amsterdam Hilton?

Q3) 12 years earlier, 25th March, 1957 saw the signing of the Treaty of Rome, establishing the European Economic Community: also known, of course, as the Common Market. Name any two of the original signatory nations.

Q4) 22 years after that, 25th March, 1979, saw the first fully functioning space shuttle being delivered to the John F. Kennedy Space Center, to be prepared for launch: which shuttle was it?

Q3) 148 years later, 24th March, 1980, saw the death of a noted San Salvadoreán Archbishop: what was his name?
A3) Óscar Arnulfo Romero y Galdámez. Or Archbishop Óscar Romero, for the sake of brevity!

Q4) 24th March, 1954, saw the birth of actor Robert Carradine: in which series of comedy films did he play Lewis Skolnick?
A4) Revenge of the Nerds.

Q5) More to the point, which of Robert’s brother appeared as Bill, in Tarantino’s <>Kill Bill<> films?
A5) David Carradine.

Q6) What was the name of the oil tanker that ran aground, off Alaska, on March 24th, 1989?
A6) The Exxon Valdez.

I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace,
Where never lark, or even eagle, flew;
And, while with silent, lifting mind i've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

John Gillespie Magee Jr. Quoted by Ronald Reagan after the Challenger disaster; a slightly tenuous connection but an excuse to quote one of my favourite pieces of poetry.

Good luck later
Cheers

I like Mr. Drone's quote very much!

I believe in everything until it's disproved. So I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons. It all exists, even if it's in your mind. Who's to say that dreams and nightmares aren't as real as the here and now?
John Lennon

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition.
